Why do bands do that. Anounce tour dates then ad new dates.I live in newcastle and because the lads came 2 newcastle last time i did not mind 2 much having 2 travel 2 Glasgow this time. But guess what after booking tickets(QOL pre-sale fingers crossed) hotel, and transport, they anounce Newcastle arena. Magic? I get2 see them twice.(I hope)

They do it for the money.
As long as they announce only half of the cities at the same time, they are forcing people to travel further to see the band... And once the new dates are released, they can guarantee half-sold arenas from the local fans who are only happy to go to a concert with less trouble than originally planned.
For the band (and promoter) it means more ticket sales and more money, but for the audience it means buying two tickets when you only wanted to see the band once.
Also in this same category is the order in which tickets are sold... The crappiest seats go first, which guarantee the fans will be buying the better ones later on. Worst case scenario is that you might end up with 3 or 4 tickets when you only wanted to see a single show!
