I like it! I think I read that they do a fireworks display along to "Bohemian Rhapsody" at the park!
They do. I've seen it every night I've been there and it's pretty cool. Although personally, I think they tinker with the song too much, adding in phasers and other effects.

Is it just the music or do they include the lyrics too?

They do the whole song, lyrics and all, plus the first couple bars of We Will Rock You to signal that the show is about to start. They run rehearsals of it before the park opens to the public and it gets a bit old listening to BoRap on a continuous loop. :P
we actually talked to myrtle beach two years ago
they contacted us...well the convention bureau did
was a bit expensive and for those using airplanes it would have been more expensive also
the other problem of course is the size of the convention--even with HRP there now, people will come up with all kind of reasons why they cant make and support it....
that being said I am...
very grateful to those who do support and attend Breakthru -the amount of money raised for charity with such a small group is truly amazing...and it really is a fun weekend....

Whenever I price flights, it's always cheaper to fly from Myrtle Beach to somewhere like Detroit, for example. It's probably because of the golf. It would be over $300 a ticket for us to fly from Columbia to Detroit but its only in the low 200's to fly from Myrtle Beach. (I checked the prices, cause I was thinking of going to Breakthru.)
Also, with the convention being in Myrtle Beach, people could make more of a vacation out of it. It's expensive (to me anyway) to fly 2 people somewhere for just a weekend, but conventioners could make it into a fun week long trip, if they wanted.
If y'all were contacted by the Myrtle Beach convention center, I have no doubt that they are waaaay overpriced. I'm sure Pieter has an idea how much they charge, cause he goes there every year for work. There are probably cheaper alternatives at some of the oceanfront hotels, than the convention center. As far as a tribute band goes, there was one that played the House of Blues last year. Something like that could be worked out.
Come to SC! We have "Smiling faces, beautiful places!" ;-)
Well, I'm coming from the San Francisco area and it costs a pretty penny to fly just about any where...
But... It's worth it to me to be surrounded by Queen 24/7 with my friends! I can't wait for BT... I'm planning what to do for the Crazy Hat contest!

I will be there in "DEAK-Troit" at the Deaconcratic Rally to support our canidate for President, Sir JOHN DEACON.
Hope to see ya'all there......
Come just for the Band, "Rock aLa Carte" as there is no finer cover band on these shores then these lads. You WILL NOT be dissapointed with them! They play all the rare stuff you ALWAYS WANTED TO HEAR LIVE ( and then some..) plus the usual favourites.
Trust me, it is worth the trip just for them.
