Hello QZ-ers.
As you know we're working hard on a Queen memorabilia book right now. It's progressing well and looking REALLY fab!
I am trying to cram EVERYTHING of interest into these pages, and each month that passes sees more great Queen memorabilia emerging somewhere on Earth. I recently saw some wonderful tins which are perfect for the book, and some guitar straps, for example. So, by the time it comes out, middle of 2009, it should be cram-packed with copious gems you've not seen before.
One of the things I want to do is have a 2 or 4-page spread, showing a mass of Queen metal badges. I have about 200 myself, and obviously Brian has tons as well. BUT... I want them ALL in the book. Not just 'most of them'.
The same goes for sew-on patches, and wool scarves, silk/satin banners.
If you have a decent collection of these, I'd love to see some scans. Even rough photos of your badges laid out all together on the floor on white paper would do.
I'd really love to do this badges, patches, scarves/banners thing PROPERLY, for the first time ever.
If you have anything nice, please email to gb.queen_archive@btinternet.com and please title your email QUEEN BADGES or QUEEN PATCHES or QUEEN SCARVES, otherwise my spam filter will spirit it away and I won't know about it.
Many thanks
GB

Please try harder. MUCH harder.
Mines was a genuine request. My one and only remaining white, sleeveless T shirt bought at Knebworth '86. I know you didnt put this in your main post, but I thought I would ask anyway.

I got one badge of the Sheer Heart Attack album???
How about the queen boxset. Will it still come out and will we all live to see and buy it. We don't need no books. You've already released some. Give us some information on the boxset instead of another book.
I have various "Greg Brooks is not the right man" and " Someone Else for Queen Archivist" Buttons (also the rare one with GB nude-picture) collected over the years.
Would you file this under Queen?
Greg
On a serious note, are you interested in badges (sew on and window sticker type) that Jacky used to issue on renewal of the Fan Club memberships??

I've got 4 badges, two scarfs, and a CD of Queen and George Bush Sr. I'll give 'em to you for the tracklisting to the box sets coming out in 2007. I mean 2008. I mean 2009. I mean.....
Are you able to confirm a release date for the book now? Waterstones and Amazon amongst others have the release date as 1 October, but I haven't seen it it store yet.
In addition the bok is listed as paperback - is this right? (For some reason I just had it pictured in my mind as a 'coffee table' style hardback type thing)
