so i just paid £220 for tickets and for 1 band.surley a band as big as q+p could have had some pre concert back up,hell even some good scots band like the chilli pipers or a local glasgow band would have been fine.anyway i spose my kids will like it.(i should be on grumpy old men lol).i remember the time when support bands were ok.82 ingleston, teardrop explodes, they werent bad loking back.but hey this is the modern world.you pays for what you gets.should be grateful to see q+p in any concert.anyway i hope the tour is a goody, and as i will be 50 on 11|10 it should be fun.
Good memories gala..
Was at both shows in Ingleston in '82. (queued from midday in scorching summer's day to get to the front!)
The second night the support band was HEART who were received MUCH better that The Tear Drop Explodes (will never forget Julian Cope's profuse perspiration and 'rabbit in the headlights' stare!!)- rumours were going around at the time that the support would be Haircut 100!
I think (at my age) that standing for one group is quite long enough never mind having to endure a supprt act I'm not really that interested in. Although a Queen/Muse combination would be perfect!
