Now, Captain Guitar, just how long have you been posting here? ;)

I don't mean this in a sarcastic way, but: link and link are great resources for a wealth of info.
Well, I guess Cherry asked the question on this forum because of the Queen connection and thought (s)he might get a more direct and informed answer than a google search. Why does everyone have to second guess people's actions and intentions on this forum?
To (try to) answer the question, Al Murray is a character comedian known as the Pub Landlord. He did some successful standup comedy shows and then got a TV show on the back of it. As he is a Queen fan he name checks them in every show and gets each band that plays on the show to end on a Queen song. The gag is that "Well <band-name> you're good, but you're no Queen are you? Why don't you go and learn <Queen-song> to play us out with!".
Someone posted the link to YouTube where all the covers from the shows are. Some are good, some not so. But generally all fun regardless
Hope that was more helpful!
I find it highly amusing that Brian shat all over "Never Mind the Buzzcocks" for being 'yob' humour...
He has no standards. There's only one reason he was upset with Buzzcocks; they made fun of his musical. Ha-ha.
If Simon Amstell went on about how great it was every week, Brian would've replaced Bill Bailey years ago.

Pathetic, beyond belief.
Maybe, just maybe he'd prefer to have a human being explain such a thing to him rather than a webpage. Ever thought of that? Yeah, human interaction. Remember that?
his character is a stereotypical english pub landlord and believe me i know a thing or two about pub landlords.his humour is english patriotism and very funny [my own personal opinion].its all done with tongue firmly in cheek.
