Man... this is one I'm going to have to think on! I would like to make mention of both "Castellorizon" and "Red Sky at Night" from the latest David Gilmour album. They're pretty sweet! More later... |

Without any doubt: A Saucerful Of Secrets by the Floyd. Especially the live versions, like the one on the live disc of Ummagumma. How totally chaos can segue into a peaceful tune. The organ part is just beautiful. |

Gym Bitch wrote: Heart - Sylvan Song ELO - Fire on High Elton John - Funeral for a Friend Plus many listed previouslyAh, Fire On High...well, it's an instrumental unless you play it backwards. "The music is reversible, but time is not. Turn back! Turn back! Turn back!" Anyways, I agree with the post before the last one. Any instrumental by Rush is kickass, i mean, they've gotten 5 Grammy nods (6 if you count Neil Peart's drum solo from Rush In Rio). They haven't won, but they are still awesome to me. :) Here's my fave instrumentals (other than Rush): David Bowie - Crystal Japan Mason Williams - Classical Gas Pink Floyd - On The Run Van Halen - Eruption Queen - Chinese Torture I also like Follow Your Bliss by The B-52s. It's one of those 'thinking' type of songs; it's peaceful, and it's rhythm really opens your mind. -=Brian=- |

Call of Ktulu and Orion are excellent instrumentals. Metallica played Orion at Wembley Stadium last year and it sounded as though it was coming straight off the record, was amazing. For the love of God by Steve Vai is pretty amazing too! |
