I have record with this gig and don't know, fake or not. What wrong....Very good quality (strange for England), Doin Allright in gig - strange for this tour. But...i can't find semillar concert...and don't know what that.
I got this from a guy who used to go to conventions and posted lists under peoples chalet doors on the last day. This was back in the days of tape because a CD recorder cost £300, discs were about £3 each and you could only burn at 1x speed.
I bought a load of stuff from him on tape and this concert was included.
Never having seen or heard of it before (like many concerts which are now common place thanks to this website and the kind people who share them), I gave CD copies to all my friends around the world so it's probably my fault this has spread.
A few years later one of my friends told me it was fake.
I can't remember who that was now, but he certainly listened to every concert he had (which I never did and still don't) and realised he'd just listened to some of it under a different name.
I can't remember which concerts it "really" is (there's not many to choose from if anyone here wants to listen to all the early ones) but it's definately an edited mix of TWO of the better quality ones.
Is it made up of Golders Green & Rainbow (november) 74?
Wasn't it more Rainbow 74 & Earls Court 77 ? I really can't remember, it's been many years since I saw this one. Could somebody please post at least the track list ?
ok the "cleethorpes" gig tracklist :-
procession/father to son/ogre battle/hangman/ doin' alright/white queen/son and daughter/ keep yourself alive/ liar / modern times rock n roll.
there's definitely some golders green and rainbow in there...and doin' alright must be heavily edited if it came from earls court...as the whole "calypso feel" bit has gone
Some time ago I did a research to find where these tracks come from and here are the results:
Procession - Father To Son (Rainbow 74-03-31)
Ogre Battle (Golder‘s Green Hippodrome 73-09-13)
Hangman (Tokyo 76-04-01) end cut
Doing All Right (???) definitely not Earl's Court 77
White Queen (Hammersmith Odeon 75-12-24)
Son And Daughter (Golder‘s Green Hippodrome 73-09-13)
Keep Yourself Alive (New York 74-05-07)
Liar (New York 74-05-07) end cut
Modern Times Rock’n‘Roll (Bradford 74-11-06)
