It should be noted that Gallileo on QOL has confirmed that QPR will be playing dates outside of Europe, but he is not in a position to reveal that information at this time. I would imagine that the most likely places outside Europe would be Japan, North America and possibly some South American dates. Also... is this a hint at what the album artwork may look like? link |

Ireland left out of the loop again like last time with the possibility that we might be thrown a concert as an after thought if the tour doesn't pad their pockets sufficently by November. I reckon they think its one way of getting us Paddies to fork out for a UK/Main land Europe gig in addition to a home event. I hope the set list is a little more inspiring than last time out but I am guessing we'll be given, what we've been given a thousand times before:( |

You can always arrange to go to the nearest gig -Liverpool. I have to travel 80 miles to attend Cardiff. Not far by some peoples standards but Cardiff is the only decent indoor venue in Wales so cannot afford to be choosy. If there was no gig in Wales I would go to NIA which is the nearest. Have a feeling that the set list will be more adventourous this time - second tour with Paul finding his feet. |

The 2008 tour kicks off mid-September in Russia with two dates at Moscow’s SCO Olympic Arena, moves on into Poland for a massive free concert at the historic Gdansk Shipyard, and then follows a path through Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands before arriving in the UK early October for 6 dates including London’s 02 Arena on October 13. masterstroke_84 wrote: Last tour in USA = 60%, 70% sold arenas. .This is not uncommon in certain areas in the US. There were also several shows with high attendance. They made mistakes playing too many dates that were close to each other. Some states saw two shows. Similar turnouts have been reported for Aerosmith tours in the past. Part of the problem was ticket prices, and total lack of promotion. However, I do agree that if they come back it will not be on the scale of the last tour. I am sure they learned where to play (Chicago, Detroit), and where not to play (Jacksonville, Pittsburg, Miami) |

Promotions for the US tour was nonexistent. I have a few friends that live in Florida and Georgia who didn't even know Q+PR were even in town. They won tickets just by calling in a request. Talk about being lucky! Jim Beach needs to get a better promotion company here in the states, just to spread the word around. And yes, other bands have had crappy turn outs. KISS, Aerosmith, 311, and a few others have reported the same. |

Good news! Berlin and Hannover are belonging to my plan! How can we manage the gether the Queenzoners on the concerts? Red lighting horns on our heads? regards W. |

I was hoping for a gig in Finland, fat chance. Boohoo, I think I'll get over it... |
YourValentine 20.03.2008 08:49 |
You can still jump on a RyanAir plane to Frankfurt Hahn for the Mannheim gig. I pick you up :) |
Erin 20.03.2008 11:34 |
*sigh* I'll be reading your reviews of the shows. ;-P |
eggy 20.03.2008 11:52 |
The dates are not great for me with Marathon training leading up to 28th September. Mannheim is 2nd Oct which is a maybe but work wouldn't too happy, so close to time off for marathon and lots to do after month-end. Will wait for more information before I weigh up costs, feasability but first impressions are not too good. In all honest Berlin on the 21st seems the best - two trips to Berlin in two weeks though! I don't want to see the same gig time after time either! Not sure I have the same desire as with Mr Prince. I agree that it is my turn to do the travelling though, Barb! |
YourValentine 21.03.2008 06:57 |
You would meet some familiar Queenzoners in Berlin, eggy:) My current "tour schedule": Berlin Rome Verona Mannheim Hannover |

No one go to Poland? :( |

Dagmara wrote: No one go to Poland? :(I just might! (Fingers crossed...) If my 'plan' works out, I'll skip Paris and do Gdansk Berlin Antwerpen Verona Rotterdam ...and that'll be enough for me this time. (Especially considering that Gdansk and Verona will be the most unique experiences on the entire tour!) Maybe one or two USA shows next year. |
Hitman 21.03.2008 09:12 |
YES Jeroen...i was waiting for this post of yours ;) Verona verona *drools* |
YourValentine 21.03.2008 09:27 |
Are you flying, Jeroen? Gdansk is 1000 km /14 hrs (!!) drive from me and Gdansk --> Berlin another 500 km and 9 hours (!!) drive - and the concerts are on two consecutive days. |
Mr. Scully 21.03.2008 09:39 |
Gdansk is 1000 km but on what roads! It would probably take two days to get there. My friend travelled a lot in Poland last year and he said he'd never drive there again. 50 km between cities often took him an hour and half. Germany rocks... highways with unlimited speed... if there are no traffic jams, it's just unbeatable :-) |
Jeroen 21.03.2008 09:41 |
My sources say Berlin - Gdansk should be 504 kilometer and the drive should be doable in 5 hours... (Roads between Berlin and Gdansk should be the best in the country *ahem* ;-)) |

Hitman wrote: YES Jeroen...i was waiting for this post of yours ;) Verona verona *drools*Yes, Lori honey, it is official: I WILL be in Verona! ;-) Gdansk is not definitive, the other ones I mentioned are. I got very very lucky with re-arranging my job! |
Hitman 21.03.2008 11:20 |
yeah Jeroen well done ;) i feel ready to join the "Roger AAAAAAH" group in front of the catwalk :P i'm trying to convince myself to go to some gigs abroad...but Gdansk is definitely too far =) maybe holland or uk...boh :) do you guys have a free couch?! ;) |

Mr. Scully wrote: My friend travelled a lot in Poland last year and he said he'd never drive there again. 50 km between cities often took him an hour and half.So true, unfortunately- probably the worst roads in the whole Europe... I'm considering Gdansk (depends on many things...), definitely will see Nottingham, 99% London, 75% Birmingham and Liverpool. I'm still thinking about Cardiff (was really nice last time)... anything in Europe? Dunno... we shall see- still few months... |
The Stealer 21.03.2008 15:09 |
I can't wait until 2009 to see "if" they will do some dates in US and Canada. We will be at: Mannheim Hannover Hamburg Rotterdam Nottingham Glasgow London Cardiff Birmingham Liverpool By boss was very gracious to let me take 3 weeks off! |

Any finns going anywhere? I'm thinking Hannover and Hamburg. Easiest way (at least from Oulu, where I'm coming from) should be flying with Ryan Air from Tampere to Bremen and then by train to Hannover and so on... Anyone? |
