You probably have already seen it, it is the (as of now) latest News item on this site. Go check it out if you haven't already but this really disturbs me:
Robbie Williams is rumoured to be planning to sing with the band dressed as their legendary frontman Freddie Mercury.
NO!
If this is true, this would probably become the dumbest thing that Queen has ever done. It sounds so ridiculous that I seriously doubt it's true. If this comes to pass, whatever smidgen of credibility Queen still has with me would probably be lost.
What do you think?

I sincerely hope not. That clown should never be let near a studio let alone be in one with Queen.
O I C.Its for the Nelson Mandela gig.Well in that case he should NEVER be allowed near a stage, nevermind one with Queen on it.
Thank god they're touring in September with Paul.So says Paul btw.

The funniest/sad part is that the Spice Girls are headlining the concert.. in a way its a slap in the face to icons like the stones and Queen. I hope Robbie Williams doesn't sing with Queen, I can't fucking stand him, he thinks he's the second coming of Freddie Mercury.
Robbie Williams would be a better choice than Paul Rodgers for their current karaoke concerts. Compare the two versions of WATC if you dont believe me. Rodgers voice simply doesn't suit Queen's back catalog. However, when they start producing new stuff, that's when Rodgers and Queen might start to gel.
Instead of believing what a dumb ass reporter has to say in a tabloid so called newspaper, why not read what Brian has to say about it. If you go to his site on a daily basis you can catch up on everything that is true and not just hearsay. As if they would let Anubody dress as FM and play with them?
Brian May wrote at his soap box:
Good Lord! ... I've seldom seen so much misinformation in one article!!! Well done, the Mirror! ha ha!
If they wanted to know about this event, maybe they should ask us ... since we are organising it ...
Just about the only part of this that rings true is that Madiba DID enjoy meeting the Spice Girls. And Why Should He Not ?!!!
Cheers!
