The singer is called Raya Yarbrough, and on her new album (to be released end Feb.) she covers Dreamers Ball:
"She transforms Queen's "Dreamer's Ball" (sic!) into a vintage jazz tune with doo-wop backing harmonies" (from Muruch blogspot)
Anybody heard it already?
Rule nr 1: NEVER try to cover a Queen song because you will fail miserably when trying to sing what freddie sings.
If any singer really thinks they are good the worst thing they could do is to try to sing a queen song because it will show them how much they suck compared to the almighty god freddie
Rule # 2: NEVER try to cover a Bon Jovi song because you will fail miserably when trying to sing what Jon sings.
Rule # 3: NEVER try to act out a scene of any Bon Jovi movie because you will fail miserably when trying to capture the emotion of the moment as Jon does.
Rule # 4: NEVER try to make a comback like Jon Bon Jovi because you will fail miserably and will not get the 2 grammy nominations that he got.
Rule # 5: NEVER obey the rules.

Hi, Mike Label.
I would like to hear this cover!
You could send this music for my e-mail ??
Or post a link where downloads this?
Guys I'm pissed. I thought this was serious. To me, covering Queen songs is okay. I'm not saying anybody's trying to be better than Freddie or better than Queen - that's not what it's about. Of course there are tons of really ugly Queen cover versions around - but very good ones as well. THAT IS NO SACRILEGE! A good cover version may introduce a new generation to Queen's wonderful music, especially if it's some underrated gem like Dreamers Ball. I haven't even heard this new version myself (sorry guitarmay!), I don't know anything about the singer - so it might be crap, might be wonderful. All I wanted to say is there is something new ahead for those who care. If you're not interested in these kinds of things that's fine. But please don't offend those that have other opinions.
Mike
