I'm in the middle of sorting out (or I should say, throwing out) my small collection of old cassettes. One of the gems that I did uncover is this old interview with Brian, conducted by Nicky Campbell back in September 1998, just before the UK leg of the 'Another World' tour started.
This is worth downloading to hear from the guy who caught Freddie's tambourine at one of the Rainbow gigs in 1974. Also, Brian swears on national radio (and quickly apologises). Plus, you get a sense of his very anti-Queen attitude at that time, which is in marked contrast to his current stance. link
Enjoy!
Ian.
Great thanks for this interview it's funny as i''m playing another world at the moment and yes his tone suggests queen is done and it's my turn.
Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing. Always nice to hear interviews related to solo stuff instead of them being about Freddie and how great of a frontman he was. I always found it strange the Brian was so "anti"-Queen during his solo years (1992-1999)...
Thanks for this. Saw it's mp3. Would you like to trade the uncompressed wav. version ?
Or, if you're not interested in the cassettetape anymore maybe you would like to swap it with me for something (a concert recording for example)
