Queen + Paul Rodgers The Point, Dublin, Ireland May 14, 2005 Source: Audience Recording. Quality: Excellent. Total file size: 834 MB. Original Comment: "This is the complete Dublin concert and is 1st generation. There's clicks between every track unfortunately. This is quite rare." ------------------------------------------------- My comments about the editing process: Since this recording was AWFULLY bad edited I've decided to put my hands on it and make it decent. First of all, using GoldWave's Batch Processing feature, I decoded all files from Disc 1 to one single WAV file, opened with the same audio editing application, GoldWave, and started removing manually one by one all of the clicks/gaps, splitting tracks, removing an innecessary and incomplete audience noise at the end of Under Pressure, adding a fade out at the end of Love of my Life because of a bad edit, same for Hammer To Fall but in this case a fade in and again a fade out at the end of Feel Like Makin' Love & Let There Be Drums to end up Disc 1. Fade in to start up Disc 2 at I'm In Love With My Car. The rest remains unedited except for click/gap removing. Re encoded using FLAC Frontend, quality level 8 and align on sector boundaries. Fingerprints & MD5 checksum file generated by Trader's Little Helper. No artwork included. Final lineage for this recording should be: AUD > WAV > FLAC Frontend(?) > GoldWave Batch Processing > [Decode to WAV] > GoldWave (Edited & smoothed clicks/gaps) > Fade In's & Out's > Split single WAV file onto separate tracks > FLAC Frontend level 8 with Align on Sector Boundaries. Thanks a lot ! Is anybody seeding this right now ? Or is it a problem with my tunnel that I see 0 seeds and 0 peers ? |

Thank you, Alex and everyone. I am trying to download this one, but no luck: 5 seeds and 5 peers in swarm, 0 connected. Azureus says I am firewalled. But at the same time I am super-seeding another torrent on QZ (1992BrianMayChile), so I suppose I *can* connect. I am not familiar with the way this system works, can anyone please help? TIA |

Well done, Alex! But it shouldn't be "AUD > ?? > WAV......", as it was specified in the original torrent that it was "first generation." But on a recording this recent, you'd think more information would be available... |

Thank you very much Alex :D One of my intentions to share this was that someone could fix it, and you took the time to do it, so I really have to thank you. I don't know if this was uploaded at Dime, but maybe I'll upload it tomorrow (if I can Alex, maybe you want to upload it there), so other fans (especially Free and Bad Company fans) can get this completely clean. Cheers. |

I've uploaded this torrent also to Dime link Lose Yourself intro removed on that torrent due to Dime's policies. |
josedequeso 16.01.2008 15:27 |
Edit My rant about the lack of quality standards in the Queen trading community removed because now I see this is a "first generation" recording. But still, shows less than 3 years old should have more information than that. And really, why is this a first gen? Is it a first gen dat or analogue tape? That is an important thing piece of information to pass along. These things do matter. |
Marknow 16.01.2008 15:43 |
At least he did'nt add god save the queen to the setlist, like your Slane 86 recording. |
josedequeso 16.01.2008 16:00 |
Marknow, let's see here, I was talking to the Queen community in general not to anyone in particular. And so really, you went through my entire website, found one fuck-up (mis-typing "God Save The Queen" when I meant "Outro,") and you want to hold it against me? Is that right? I've fixed it now, so don't you fret about it. To whomever shared this in any way, it's not your fault you don't have the lineage (unless you purposefully withheld it) but exactly why it is that a show less than 3 years old doesn't have exact lineage is beyond me. |
Marknow 16.01.2008 16:09 |
If u think i went thru your entire site to find fault with it your on drugs. Im after a good copy of Slane for years, it was the first and only place i looked. Your talking about lineage here, but its ok for u to mislable track lists. And heaven forbid anyone should Kindly point it out. |

I'm not trying to be rude or something, but I'm sharing all what I've got, instead of keep requesting for a fu**ing trade, which I'm not interest to, I only want to share what I have, and see other people sharing what they've got. Once again, I repeat this: Ask the owner of link (_Tatterdemalion_ I think) about more details, because that's where I got this from. Period. |

In my interpretation of the English language, "at least" is a very condescending and arrogant way of putting something, so that's how I take it, I certainly wouldn’t call it “kindly pointing it out.” My copy of the Slane 86 show is the upgrade you're looking for, so send me an email if you want. I corrected the track list, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I’m happy to be corrected, your tone just wasn’t the friendliest. And I still believe, more information should be attached to new recordings. <b><font color="blue">Maruga wrote: I'm sorry for not giving you a correct accuracy in the information. "First gen" for a recording from the 70s probably means a first gen cassette from a cassette master, but for a recording this recent, what kind of generation is it? For example, a minidisc master to a DAT tape technically wouldn't be a generation, as long as it's transfered properly. Regardless, this information should not be lost on a recording that is less than three years old. I have never seen such lack of care in any other trading community. The days of "taking down only date and venue and calling it a day" were over years ago, except for in the Queen community. I seriously wonder why it ended up that way... I have no idea. That said, I'd be very surprised if this torrent wasn't pulled from Dime. |
Ale Solan 16.01.2008 18:29 |
It won't be pulled from Dime since I've seen tons of AUD recordings without a proper lineage or lacking important information, haha! I'll try to track down the original details and lineage for this recording ;-) |

Thanks to Maruga and Alex Solan for the share and the remaster respectively. I missed the "rant" but I have to remind you that there is no Queenzone rule that requires the complete lineage. As a result nobody needs to apologize - certainly not the guy who traded the audio to Maruga and certainly not anybody who shares it or takes the time to remaster it. I also don't believe the torrent will be removed from Dime because they are not that dogmatic to think it's better to have no recording than a recording with an incomplete lineage. I wish people would stop to attack the sharers, it's very detrimental to the sharing on this website. |

I wish people would stop to attack the sharers, it's very detrimental to the sharing on this website. The only person attacking anyone was Marknow. Nobody is attacking the file sharer by making a simple comment that the share has no lineage. It's a fact. It's anyone's choice to feel like it's a personal attack, even when people are stating explicitly that it isn't a personal attack. The only people to blame are a) the person who first distributed it without lineage, and b) everyone else who didn't bother to find out what it was. I really don't know what it's going to take for some people here to realize that Queen collectors are the laughing stock of the general wider collecting world. I still post now and again about this, but I've mostly stopped caring, honestly. I also don't believe the torrent will be removed from Dime because they are not that dogmatic to think it's better to have no recording than a recording with an incomplete lineage.Oh, yes they are! Anything that is lossy or doesn't have lineage is removed within hours. I guess this one snuck its way in, since it has partial lineage. But yeah, sometimes Dime's rules are even too strict for me! |
Maruga 17.01.2008 14:20 |
Bob: I haven't added a proper lineage or no lineage in my shares at Dime, and I haven't had any problems. If you look at my profile there, all my torrents are still available for everybody. |
