***** DO NOT PASS OFF AS LOSSLESS FILES - NOR - CURRUPT THE GENE POOL ***** To satisfy all bases - shared here as 128kbs MP3 files only: Session 1: link Since You Been Gone (1) Hammer To Fall (1) Studio Chat Since You Been Gone (2) Driven By You (1) Studio Chat & All Right Now (Riff) Tie Your Mother Down Let Me Out (1) Studio Chat & Hammer To Fall (Riff) Hammer To Fall (2) Studio Chat Driven By You (2) Studio Chat & Resurrection (Effects) Resurrection Studio Chat & Resurrection (Effects) Session 2: link The Dark Back To The Light Love Token Hammer To Fall Let Me Out Driven By You Let Your Heart Rule Your Head Too Much Love Will Kill You Since You Been Gone Brighton Rock Resurrection Tie your Mother Down Studio Chat For those who have not heard these tracks before: Enjoy a 'flavour' of what these sessions sound like. For Serious Collectors: FLAC/Lossless should still retain a 'currency value' - and may even become more saught after - as more people look to upgrade from 128kbs to a more desirable format. Hope this does not cause offence... Thanks to 'BigV' and everyone else who contributed... ... and remember, these have been uploaded as 'freebie samplers' only. Do NOT pass off as lossless files. |

For Serious Collectors: FLAC/Lossless should still retain a 'currency value' - and may even become more saught after as more people look to upgrade from MP3 to a more desirable format....sorry, what do you mean with that ? Do you know how many people shared here their (pretty rare) stuff, also lossless, without asking anything in return ? pittrek: Sometimes people ask (usually in private trades) for their 'rare' material NOT to be shared publically. There are many reasons we do this - but one of the main reasons is that when done - it cannot be undone - so that once 'rare' item now becomes 'worthless', and the collector has nothing left to trade with when another private deal comes up. Also, as a man of my word, if asked NOT to share - then that becomes part of the trade conditions. So obviously, I can NOT break that confidence, or else I would lose all credability in collecting circles. Here; I am 'allowed' to share these sessions, but it is the 128kbs version only. If 'true' collectors still wish to keep the lossless version as a rarity among themselves, they can do so - and still swap as FLAC within their own circles - but without everyone else losing out. It's just all politics and part of the game really - nothing else more or less - other than my disclaimer so that everyone knows that FLAC versions do exist if they wish to seek them out, and that 128kbs should not be passed as lossless. Personally I am after nothing in return. I guess that I am just trying too hard to upset no-one, and keep everyone else happy. In any case I hope you enjoy. |

Hi Pittrek !! Personnally, I would be OK if you accepted to share these sessions ! It is always nice to hear Cozy in non-official work. This guy was terribly good !! But maybe Queenzone is not the place for that, I don't know. Anyway, if you have enough requests for this, I would be glad to hear this !! Regards, Olivier, France. |

Thank you very much, John! This is a gem! :D I uploaded the same files to massmirror, which makes it available in rapidshare and other similar services. This is for my fellow Brazilians and others in countries where megaupload does not work if you don't know how to use a proxy and perform some extra tricks. ;) Cheers, Ogre- Session 1: link Session 2: link |

Many Thanks Ogre to make this available to the highest number of people possible, very nice move from you to make this music really available to everyone ! And it seems that I forgot to thank you John for this !!! So thanks a many lot. Hope 2008 will see some good shares as there were in those last months ! Of course it is not Flac, and it's a shame, but mp3 is maybe better than nothing in that csse, unless someone share here a Flac copy. Many thanks to you ! Regards, Olivier. |

January & March 1992? Seems quite early to me, seeing as the tour didn't start until November 1992? |
| John S Stuart 06.01.2008 10:21 |
Pim Derks wrote: January & March 1992? Seems quite early to me, seeing as the tour didn't start until November 1992?Pim: You could easily be correct, but as I do not own the original tapes, the above dates seem to be the correct 'source' information. So unless someone knows differently for sure, or, has more detailed insider knowledge than we do, then (right or wrong) this is the only information I have to go on. I do buy into what you are saying, but, likewise, we are also aware that Queen+ Paul Rodgers are to play the 02 arena later in 2008. /queenzone/1070256.html Therefore, would it be totally unrealistic for Queen+ to be currently involved in private rehearsals/jams at this very moment - but the gig itself to be destined for mid-summer (June/July)? Perhaps, due to busy schedules, early rehearsals did indeed begin c February 1992 - with other more detailed rehearsals to follow throughout that year? As I said above, I do not know. However, I do not think it is 'outside the realms of possibility' that these guys were able to jam a good six or seven months before the official tour began, (especially if they were only able to meet on a few occassions throughout the year). I guess the one fact we can all cite as 'undisputable' is that these recordings are definitely 'pre-tour rehearsals', and as you correctly suggest, logically pre-date November 1992. So looking at January - November 1992 as our window of opportunity - realistically, when do you think they were recorded - and why? |
| IanR 06.01.2008 14:44 |
I would have thought the rehearsals would have taken place after the Tribute convert, and not before it? |
| John S Stuart 06.01.2008 17:18 |
IanR wrote: I would have thought the rehearsals would have taken place after the Tribute concert, and not before it?IanR: Actually, you talk a lot of sense, (and nicely back up Pim's argument) so I guess using your logic, that narrows the window of opportunity to around April - November 1992. Remember though, I am not the one who invented the January - March 1992 date, I just relay the message as it was given to me. However, if it was written as that on the source tape, who am I to argue? If it does not have the date written on the source, then I guess post April 1992 would be a very valid timeframe. |
| bigV 07.01.2008 06:32 |
I'm thinking that June-July to November would be more likely. One would imagine that it would take the band (in this case Brian) some time to get over the emotional charge of the Tribute concert. V. |
