What do you reckon the chances are of queen and paul rodgers getting to no.1 are i think it might just do it and wouldn't it be a great start for them.
I wouldn't think it would bother them if it didn't or would it.
what's your take.
Happy christmas to you all..
"snowball" and "hell" spring to mind
not a chance - even in some remote outpost where they just discoovered rock music....they had their day.....queen will always now live off past glories
Don't get me wrong, I love the song... But I doubt it'd ever be #1.
Nowadays we still see some rock bands doing well on the charts and getting #1 hits throughout the world... Maybe if Queen comes up with something better, who knows.
The new album will be out in a few months... So, let's wait and see what the guys can do.

No One But You didn't do very well in the charts ten years ago - and that was a GOOD song!!
Now who will buy the physical release of SINT? Most who downloaded the song for free won't - why should they? Which leaves the die hard fanatical collectors, and I guess there's not enough of us (including myself) around to help a mediocre song into the charts ...
So no no. 1, no no. 10, maybe it gets to 68 or 117.
Mike
If promoted properly it could do very well, if for instance it could make the Radio 2 top playlist it might suprise a few people, just look what thats done for Katie Melua - but I think again the guys or queen productions have shot themselves in the foot, why release it as a 2 track CD, one being the video, when this was a great chance to combine all the previous tracks recorded for 46664 and finally let them get an official release otherwise I don't think they will ever see the light of day.
My tracklisting would have been :-
Say It's Not True - 2007
Say It's Not True - Original Studio Version
The Call
Invincible Hope
Say It's Not True - Video
I think a lot more Queen fans would have bought it had it had these tracks on it (Yes I no a lot of you hate The Call, but it deserves a release)
These are the sales figures for the top selling singles here in the UK + No 32, just to give you an idea of what SINT will have to sell to become a hit, surely it will go Top 10, if only Queen's loyal fanbase buy it.
1. Eva Cassidy & Katie Melua - 56,114
2. Leona Lewis - 27,744
3. Soulja Boy Tell'em - 24,630
4. Mariah Carey - 19,453
32. Stereophonics - 4,938
Come on folks let's get it to No.1 - just to see the name Queen where it belongs

Yes, it would be nice to get all the 46664 tracks, but I really doubt it will happen 'cos this is a QPR single. They also want to promote their "new voice" with this release. The old 46664 songs would just confuse people not familiar with the history of these songs.
It would be great but i doubt it will ever happen. Queen have had their time, their glory days. And now with Freddie gone, they can never get back to the way they were. Also, the styles of music and artists that are popular today are quite different from Queen in many ways, such as age for instance.
Best wishes,
Amy
Get the song into a poll.
That way, it will become the #1 song in the world, as voted on by Queen fans, who seem to have nothing better to do in their lives than vote for Queen 100x a day in contests that mean nothing.
Paul Rodgers is more likely to do a number to in his pants than him, Roger, and Brian are to hit #1 on the charts. I heard Paul forgets to wipe sometimes.

No, make a poll, with a link to the video, and then do not go around telling just Queen fans about it, tell everyone. Queen fans, and non queen fans, and people who just listen to the radio, and then have a vote.
Listen.
My first fart in the morning would get to number 1 before SINT does.
I absolutely love the song but there are loads of people out there who think " Queen = OLD " and so therefore wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
I really want SINT to become no 1.
One thing that comes to mind when reading this thread is this: I think that in these days the number of downloads is also taken into account as apposed to merely record sales.
if freddie were alive and sang on it it would most likely be nr 1 but then again freddie would have changed the song so it would sound much better, the songstructure/melodies
