Hi all,
I've just returned to the fold after 14 years away (yes naughty me!!)
What seems to have caught my attention is the values seem to have dropped? I'm not a dealer so not too fussed but what caused the values to drop in this time as even standard 7" copies were £7+ back all those years ago...
Cheers,
Bryn
Oh right didn't consider that, would have thought that wouldn't make a massive difference as the old stuff is still old and you ain't going to get Freddie back....
I don't think that has anything to do with it.
Internet.
10 years ago it was much more difficult to get... say... BEST OF LP Polish edition or 7" It's Late from Japan. It was rarer. Now we have eBays and the likes- and they are not so difficult to get anymore. The real rarities are still rare (Little Girl 7" Borhap for instance)but many singles and albums that were difficult to get years ago AREN'T. So the prices went down...
but there are have been new discoveries thanks also to ebay. A lot of obscure S. American and asian 45, for instance, have appeared and became the new rare items. A KYA from Holland or Portugal still have is high value even if it's a little lower than early 90's. Acetates and promotional stuff is still very hard to find.
