Just received a press release from EMI/Parlophone about the physical CD-single release of Say It's Not True. Available on Dec. 31th. The interesting bits from the pressrelease (things we did not know yet): -It will be a 1-track single, as we already suspected (it will include the video as a ROM-track but no other music) -It will be a NEW MIX of the song! The band confess that the download-version was a rush-release and had a very quickly done mix. (As some of us already complained about :-) Good news, me thinks. Curious to hear if the band indeed 'fixes' the things some fans complained about. So, there is something to look forward to! |

Ah... now it's on BMdotcom and QOL aswell. In the digital era a scoop never lasts longer then twelve minutes ;-) |

I wonder just how differently this version is mixed. If the vocal effects are totally gone that would be awesome :) But it sucks that some will go on thinking it was from mp3 compression ;) |

"Queen’s first new studio recording in ten years and Paul Rodgers’ first in 7 years, the track is being rush-released by Parlophone/EMI throughout the world excluding North America to be available by the end of the year." To be quite honest, I am very dissapointed with the exclusion of North America. This, and I seldom use this kind of language, pisses me the fuck off. |

Trying to think of a reason why they wouldn't release it there...... ...... ...... ...... Nope, can't think of anything. The AIDS / HIV message is of huge importance there, so it would *make sense* to release it there. Perhaps the recording contract for Queen + Paul Rodgers doesn't extend to North America though. It's entirely possible that Hollywood Records haven't signed them there.......? No idea - utter madness. |

Simple. USA will get something else next year, when the 46664 campaign hits (South-)Amerika. (Probably right before they are about to announce their second US/first South American tour). |

New mix! Yay!! The fact that it won't be released here doesn't surprise me in the least. It's aiight. I can order it. :-) |

Americans kill too many whales.... so they will have to WAIT!! and STOP! STOP! STOP THE MADNESS! So what was the reason again for the demise of Queen in the US? I can't seem to remember suddenly. I'm sure that radio promo CD will have to wait as well. |

The new mix is good news ... but the non inclusion of additional tracks is the bad news, I think. I would have loved the following tracklisting: 1. Say It´s Not True (new mix studio version) 2. Say It´s Not True (live from any of the ´05/´06 shows - except Sheffield or Tokyo) 3. Invincible Hope 4. The Call Yeah, most people hates The Call, and Brian´s vocal work annoys me a bit. But I like it musically, and I´d like it to be included in a proper "Queen" release, just as "Invincible Hope", wich is to me a great song in the typical Roger´s style. |

Congratulations! You are ALL right! |

Also, take note of the revised artwork. It's clear they are going to go by Queen and Paul Rodgers. YAY! So, new mix and new artwork. Good news! |
olly1988 12.12.2007 18:29 |
yeah I noticed that too. I didnt mind it being Queen (getting ready to be burnt now). It would have been more commercially viable, but I understand where theyre coming from. |

So they expect people to pay at least €5 for 1 track??? That won't motivate anybody...not even if it's for charity. :P |
Jeroen 14.12.2007 06:12 |
On-track singles are cheaper! I believe the UK retailprice is less then two pounds... It's probably gonna cost like 3 euro's of something... |

for those of you who pre-ordered through amazon uk, did you receive this notice? "Dear Customer, We wanted to give you an update on the status of your order Unfortunately, the release date for the item(s) listed below was changed by the supplier, and we need to provide you with a new estimated delivery date based on the new release date: Queen (Artist) "Say It's Not True [Single]" [Audio CD] Estimated arrival date: 09/01/08 - 11/01/08" huh? |

That actually sounds about normal for delivery.. you'll probably receive it a few days sooner than that though. It's usually just about exactly one week for me in Kansas from the UK. |

just to say that i personally don't like the "complaints" about new stuff -and mixes of SINT...- let them work for God's sake...if there's something that turns me down in any situation of life is to feel the pressure of people pushing... peace |
