i have been a fan since i remember myself. but still after all these years queen comes and amazes me. this time it was about this video.
it's a bootleg of montreal 1977. i don't know how to express myself so you could understand me right-but i think it just shuts everyone up who says queen were soft..they were hard and heavy as hell.i was never into bootlegs but in this super poor quality video i can see much more powerful sound than in lets say 1977 earls court's one. link
Ive only been a Queen fan for a couple of months (i wasnt really able to be a fan in the 70s, coz im only 13) but every album i buy and every performance i watch, im left absolutely amazed at their endless talent!
To know the real Queen, you would have had to have seen them in the seventies.
I was fortunate enough to have saw them several times during that period and would say that Queen were arguably more heavier than groups like Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple and maybe even Black Sabbath.
What made it even more special for me was ,here was a band who were not afraid try something different, like throw in something more ,say, operatic(Bo Rhap) or light-hearted(Bring Back Bad Leroy Brown)
Plus before they went onstage they used to play classical music like Chopin or Paganini to get you into the mood
They were,at that period,a band who tried not to make it a gig but more an experience for the audience.

As blurry as that bootleg is, THANKS! I had not seen that before. Here is another youtube one - same concert. Energetic Freddie in that white leotard - how beautiful can one person be! With his head snaps, it's a wonder he did not have whiplash albeit self-induced. link

I know you try really hard to be the Bill Hicks of QZ but please remember that nasty, sarcastic, one-line comments are only funny in moderation. When you do it all the time, it just gets incredibly tedious.

Oh please, stop taking your Queen medicine and open your ears.
