No idea if this shouls be in this part of the forum or not. But I am trying to download a Queen and Paul Rodgers concert using bit-torrent, and im having a few problems.
firstly, its very slow, so could someone kindly tell me where I djust the settings and what I should change them to for the best performance.
Secondly, what are seeds/seeders something like that. Do they help/
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
1. Slow download - you could write a book on this one. If you mean the Q+PR Fukuoka and you are at 6.5% then you are in the same situation as everybody else - be patient. Otherwise, you might try using utorrent (link ) which generally works quite well here.
2. Seeds are peers who have the complete file and share it with others. Obviously the more seeds there are the faster the download speed will be.
Hope this helps you! Good download :)
Peers are participants in a torrent - they could be downloading or uploading or both. Leechers, on the other hand, are downloading and not uploading - in other words they take but do not give back. They are selfish.
Torrents are based on the idea of sharing the music - that's why leechers are despised so much. Since you're new, could I respectfully suggest you don't be one of those that leeches and runs - leave your torrent open so other peers can download.
Thanks again.
Currently i dont have a good enuf connection at home, and I do most of my downloading at the office - I work of an ISP you see :)
However torrents are blocked, and I rely on Mediafire mostly as rapidshare is a pain.
I'm planning to upgrade the connection at home and will start doing torrents then.
I'm a relatively new fan, and most of what I've got (downloads and information about our guys is from my fellow Queenzoners.
The minimum I can do is help others to download; rest assured then if I do torrents it will be as a peer/seed.
