ok, when it come to animal rights, i am for it, and some may see me as hypocritical when i say i eat meat., but the suffering of animals is wrong. and to waste a life of any kind, is even more disgusting. i am someone who has grown up in a home where no life or body is gone to waste, or somehow go unrespected. brian has written about the whales being slaughtered, and how fishermen have allowed fish to stay on land and die and throw the dead fish back, only to weed out prawns. why am i commenting on this? i appreciate seeing that someone who is a vegetarian sees past the 'exteremist animal rights' and sees the waste of not only an animal's life, but even he, as a vegetarian, can see that these animals couldve been for use for humans. im proud that he sees this, and how in the long run it has hurt humans, and a waste of an animal life can be a waste of a human life. its unnessesary. i believe in solving a problem, and identifying things makes one more step to a better world, if stopped or at least minimized. im proud of brian for doing this, and not just sitting back and watching it happen. at least he brings a good point across. anyone agree? disagree? |

I also eat meat, and it's healthy to eat meat. But I strongly dissapprove of being cruel to animals. When you kill the animals for food you don't have to torture them. And I also hate things like sport fishing. If you want to catch fish you better eat them. And I think killing intelligent animals like whales is a crime. |

This is unlikely to make me very popular but I don't think that we as humans are as cruel to animals as we should be. As a child I remember having my photograph taken with a monkey at the seaside. I was later told that the monkey had probably had all of it's teeth snapped off with a pair of pliers. But does anyone ever think what might have happened if the monkey's owner hadn't taken that precaution? The little bastard would have had it's jaws around my throat before you could say "inhumane". And before you start bleating on about the poor fishes in the sea, have you ever considered that the actions of these fishermen might act as a deterent to sharks who would otherwise eat millions of swimmers each year? And don't get me started on those fucking pandas. fatty. |

Fifty are killed by vending machines. And I'm not kidding! |

And don't get me started on those fucking pandas. fatty.well fatty, that does bring up a point though, i also would not hold back on defending myself against an animal, just as it would defend against me if it could or should. it would be common sense, and a part of life. there is a population control factor, with the 'poor fishes in the sea' but those fish that were left to die couldve feed some families, be it other animals or people, is the point i was getting across. i still think no life should be wasted. people should really think of long term- reasoning. but i know that is somehow 'impossible' due to laziness. if you were being funny, then...sorry if i missed the joke. im not some psychotic or extereme 'animal rights activist' but i treat any creature as they would want to be treated, or at least tactfully deserve. |

fatty, Clearly, you are an idiot and a buffoon. Or else youre doing a great job of simply winding people up. If it's the former, consider: >>having my photograph taken with a monkey at the seaside. I was later told that the monkey had probably had all of it's teeth snapped off with a pair of pliers. But does anyone ever think what might have happened if the monkey's owner hadn't taken that precaution? What was the guy doing owning a monkey in the fisrt place? Why were you condoning his treatment of the monkey by having your photograph taken with it and paying him for the privellage? Have a look at this website which is an ape rescue center in Dorset, UK. The wonderful work they do ni rescuing apes and monkeys from cruelty at the hands of humans is incredible: link >>fishermen might act as a deterent to sharks who would otherwise eat millions of swimmers each year? Solution: swim where there is no danger of coming across a shark - read the signs and warnings on the beach. You are entering their habitat, not the other way round - you pays yer money, you takes yer choice. |

If anyone is interested in buying some necklaces made from baby dolphin teeth* please get in touch. *Don't worry, it's not cruel: the dolphins are battered to death first, before the teeth are extracted. |

Holly2003, That's two threads now - are you stalking me? Perhaps, given that you claim to be from Northern Ireland, I should be afraid of *YOU* and your terrorist tendencies. Got any semtex dickhead? |

Incidentally my black rhino lip harvesting business is entirely legal. In Uzbekistan. And it provides work for literally 100s of underage kids in Bangladesh. |

Thank you Benn After years of exploiting animals for my own amusement, you have made me see the error of my ways and from this day on I will become a better man. I have taken all the tins of tuna out of my kitchen cupboard and thrown them into the canal. Hopefully they will be able to make their own way back to the open sea where they can be reunited with their brothers and sisters. I also now realise that the woolen sweater I am wearing belongs on the back of a sheep and I plan to return it to it's rightful owner this afternoon. Thank you so much for lifting the scales from my eyes and allowing me to live alongside our furry friends in peace and harmony. Yours in gratitude fatty. P.S You're right about that Holly2003 fellow. He seems a rum sort and no mistake. I didn't realise that he was from Northern Ireland and must be a terrorist. Do you think he's with the IRA or one of the catholic groups like Al Quaida or something. I think we should get in touch with the police in case he's thinking of planting some semolina bombs in Queenzone. |

I used to be a rear gunner on a milk float, but those bloody peace people put an end to that. Thank you very much Tony blair and bill Clinton! Now I'm into rhino lips, but society's to blame. One of these days will come the Vegetal Rights.... So.... Brian cannot be extemist so He live in London in a big house with a long extention of land... the logic says that there were some kind of ecological injustice... some trees were sacrificed and the animals who lived in there were forced to move on to another place, some of them passed away, COME ON!!! the guitars and the forniture, and the polution we produce using cars, computers, our confortable life are bassed on sacrifice the ecology, The indians who lived and live with perfect armony with nature, they have to kill fish, and other animals inclusive to cut and mutilate trees to survive, come ON NOBODY IS A SAINT for GOD sake... |

Fatty, re: >>I think you'll find it's "between him and me". I think you'll find it's not, but you go ahead and believe what you will. You're obviously correct on planet fatty.... Holly2003 was refering to a post in which I responded to "him". >>Unless of course you're right about Holly and I being the same person in which case it's just between me and me. But that would be incorrect too as by being "him", *YOU* are refering to yourself as a third party and therefore, would need to refer to yourself as "him". >>And if that is indeed the case would you mind keeping your nose out of my/our business. Impossible given that you are posting to a public forum where your business becomes everyone's. I hope this helps. |

Benn, Would you believe it, I am from Northern Ireland too. Isn't it shocking that the moderators of this board allowed TWO people from Northern Irealnd, with the obvious "terrorist tendencies" that we have, to post here. Goodness knows what plots are being hatched on this site. All we need need is a third person from Northern Ireland to post here and Queenzone would automatically qualify as a paramilitary group and hence become an illegal organization. Yes, with what you have pointed out Benn, it has become clear that Queenzone is a dangerous place these days. Well, either that or you're a fucking idiot. |

.DeaconJohn, re: >>Yes, with what you have pointed out Benn, it has become clear that Queenzone is a dangerous place these days. Well, either that or you're a fucking idiot. I was "taking the piss" out of your fellow countryman. He'd accused me of "stalking" him and mentioned that I may be a terrorist on a thread in the "Serious Discussion" board. Above is / was simply a childish jibe in response on a different thread. No offence meant or intended to anyone else from Northern Ireland. I have a number of good friends from across the water and certainly don't believe they are "terrorists". |
