Freddie's #1 Fan Forever 25.11.2007 20:37 |
Hi Guys, It is time to review the latest evidence of Brian May's out-of-control ego. Let me explain, OK? So a couple of days ago, Freddie was voted as the Greatest Rock Legend ever. You know about how he likes to flaunt certain poll-related things on his web site. Whenever he is voted #39 or whatever there is always some lavish display of it on his site. For instance, there are all kinds of pictures showing him as a chancellor for some school over in England. There is also a long discussion about how we need to save whales. Is there anything there to congratulate Freddie though? Of course not. He is obviously pissed that HE did not make it on the list as well and so he does not want to mention it along with all of the really trivial things he posts up there all of the time. By the way, all of this chancellor stuff does not help him in any way. It only serves to elucidate the fact that he has accomplished nothing over the past 16 years. |

"There is also a long discussion about how we need to save whales." This is far, FAR more important than a dead guy. Who's been dead since 1991. We have plenty of rock stars, they're in no danger of dying out. Whales are a different story, cocksucker. "By the way, all of this chancellor stuff does not help him in any way. It only serves to elucidate the fact that he has accomplished nothing over the past 16 years." Done a shitload more than you have..... This could be what, the fiftieth stupid fucking thread you've started in your life? Have you ever said anything that wasn't total pants?? Could you please fucking choke!!? Either that, or stay in your bedroom doing hideous things in front of your Freddie shrine. If nothing else, you will preserve (or perhaps get some) dignity. |

1) I dont think that a stupid poll (there are hundreds of them each year...) is more important than thousands of whales killed... and such a great honor of being chancellor of a UNIVERSITY... not a school moron... and he knows that Freddie was one of the bests... without a poll... 2) Check what he post yesterday... about Freddie... are you happy with that? Moviing..moving.. . |

There is also a long discussion about how we need to save whales. It's not Brian's fault that you don't care about this very worthy cause. It only serves to elucidate the fact that he has accomplished nothing over the past 16 years.Right... getting a PhD is "nothing". How ironic, since the title of this topic is misspelled "Brain". What are you trying to accomplish here, really? Are you trying to make friends? Are you trying to create hostility and force people to believe what you believe, regardless of how irrational and hate-filled it is? Have you nothing better to do, aside from spending hours editing Wikipedia entries to echo your twisted views? Fact: Brian is arguably the most respected rock guitarist in the world at the moment. Best of luck on your journey to change that. Griffin wrote: there can be only ONE Chancellor!Haha... I love it! |

Even though Brian is not my favorite band member and even though I'm Freddie's freak, I would refrain from comments such as this. Brian has achieved ALOT within the past 16 years and not only then. He is a hero in his own unique way and although I have my own concerns about the content of his web-site, for Christ sake, he is BRIAN MAY! |

Have you ever talked to him, or watched him talk with someone else from a close distance? Rhetorical questions, of course: if you had, you would never think of him as an egocentric. On the other hand, the fact that you keep seeking the slightest excuse to publicly bash someone you do not know at all is a definite sign of YOUR OWN EGO getting out of control. IMVHO, you'd better find medical help before it gets beyond recovery. |

Brian HAS accomplished alot in the past and yes, he may be the nicest guy in rock but, he does NOT like people to disagree with him; having personal experence of correspondance with the man, I will say that he is principled but, certainly in the case we corresponded over, his principles, I believe, can be misplaced. He does seem to get over sensitive when people criticise him or disagree. I'll actually be more specific - My son is a diabetic, Brian had a particular issue over animal experimentation with which I strongly disagreed. My son's health is dependant on emerging therapies. Needless to say an exchange of emails followed where we agreed to disagree. Throughout the correspondence, I can honestly say that Brian made no attempt whatsoever to see my point of view. So, yes, he does deserve a degree of criticism over the causes he deems important because we are not all in the position to promulgate our points of view in such a forum and if he fails to balance the arguement, he only weakens his position over each issue (sorry to go on a bit, but hope I shed some light on the discussion) |

However, you are right: that, combined with some definite stubborness, IS a major personality flaw in an otherwise extremely agreeable individual. Sorry about the circumstances of that discovery... )))*hugs*((( |

Please sign the end of the message below and send it to the heads of Germany, The US, Chile and Brazil, so they phone Japan’s Prime Minister. (4474 Messages have been sent since Friday, 23 November. Simply fill out your e-mail address and type your nameat the end of the letter and hit Sumit, then acknowedge a confirmaton e-mail, which you will receive which authorises your mail to be sent. Here is Brian May's submission today. He would be delighted if you joined him in sending your's too and help Greenpeace achieve their target. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 27 November 2007 Your Name Dr Brain H May CBE Subject Please call Japan's Prime Minister Fukuda to stop whaling President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva President Michelle Bachelet Jeria President George W Bush Bundeskanzler Angela Merkel Dear Heads of State, On Sunday 18 November the Japanese whaling fleet left port in order to sail to the Southern Ocean and kill over a thousand whales, including endangered fin whales and vulnerable humpback whales. Their "research" has been condemned by scientists worldwide, and even the International Whaling Commission - of which you are a member - has urged Japan to end its so-called scientific whale hunt in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary, because the results of that research are simply not needed. Greenpeace is currently pursuing the fleet from Japan to the Southern Ocean where they will put themselves between the harpoons and the whales to stop individual whales being killed. I know that your government has opposed the Japanese whaling programme in the past, but now we are facing their biggest hunt since the moratorium on commercial whaling came into force nearly twenty years ago. And I fear this will only escalate further. At the departure of the fleet ceremony in Shimonoseki on Sunday, the head of the Japanese Fisheries Agency, Shuji Yamada, said "The scientific research we carry out will pave the way to overturning the moratorium on commercial whaling, which will better help us to utilize whale resources." |

While it's self-discouraging to lower my standards enough to respond to so complete a douchebag such as you, I feel like making a couple of retorts to your stupid comments, but I will try and ignore your even-more-stupid remarks. A) Why did Brian not speak out about Freddie while he did Whales? Because that list is just another one of a hundred or so opinion lists. They mean absolutely nothing because they are all based around a select opinion or opinions. There is no one definitive answer to who is greater or more popular a singer/writer. The only response he'd be likely to make would be to a list that gained massive international attention like winning a grammy or something. Whale and animal killing however is a serious issue with REAL consequences of physical action, not unimportant introspective ordering of a list of entertainers. B) Over the past 16 years he's done nothing? You are right because it appears to me that all he's done of note is write and record two solo albums, tour for both of them, appear in numerous music events on stage with other performers, organize and play the Freddie Tribute concert, score a movie soundtrack, complete a PHD in Astronomy, Collaborate with Roger and John on a farewell song shortly after a studio Queen album using Freddie's last works, reunite and tour with Roger and Paul Rodgers, help produce a Queen play via setting up the play's run in at least 4 different places, and he collaborated on writing a major science/astro book called Bang. Yeah I'd say he's kinf of a slacker. C) And the reason why I ultimately felt like writing a reply since your stupidity creates a potentially embarrassing situation of being one whod acknowledge such idiotic behaviour is in regards to your accusaton of him being egotistical. That would imply that he has a very high opinion of his worth with an extreme self confidence bordering on a superiority complex. Well let's say that you are right, which I don't agree with, but let's give you the benefit of the doubt which might be a first for you. A PHD astronomer who has worked with some of the top Astronomers in the world, and who has created his own guitar with a totally original sound, and who has takent that sound and collaborated on one of the greatest musical careers in human history, and who is regarded by his peers as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, and who has lived so glorious a life that he got to kick off his country's birthday bash of their Queen on her 80th birthday by performing an opening GSTQ number from the roof of Buckingham Palace.... I'll just stop it there and ask, "Wouldn't you be a little larger than life ego-wise if you were Brian May and had done all of that?" I guess being intelligent and worthwhile is too far a stretch for your feeble imagination to fathom so don't strain yourself on answering that. |
