Sorry if this has been answered before, but what does everyone think of the new Queen Montreal DVD? Isn't this the same concert that was released on video called "We Will Rock You"? That show was from Montreal as well. I hope it's not the same as I already have this on a South Korean DVD, which was not available on UK DVD, but was released on VHS a long time ago. It would be a bit of an insult if it is because this means that UK fans have had to wait ages and ages for the DVD release. And why does it have Live Aid footage on it as well? I already have the Live Aid box set! I bet many other Queen fans have too. Queen are going to start losing some fans soon as it appears that they are ripping off their fans by rereleasing old material. Okay they can't really do anything new as Freddie has been dead over 16 years now, but why can't they release unheard material? Brian May once said he was going to have some old footage of Freddie released. This was in the papers about two years ago. What happened to that? If I am wrong about the DVD please let me know. |

Yes it is the same concert that has been released countless times before. It's the first official release of the concert on DVD outside North America though. The original VHS release was heavily edited. |

I did pay an import price for it. I bought it in 2004 and I paid about £25 for it which is pricey for a dvd but oh well. I didn't use ebay back in 2004, I know what you mean. How fair is that!Hollywood Records' bonus tracks are mostly crappy remixes, although there are several exceptions. Queen, Queen 2 and The Works are cool but others are not so much. In Mexico we get the usual UK tracklistings released locally and HR's versions as imports. Also some of the Japanese cardboard sleeves. This is all albums, we get almost ZERO singles in major record stores. I have been to Europe several times and I always return with bags full of records. I usually overpay for them but there is no other way I can get them here in Mexico or the US. Wiley |

When films get released in the USA, they go to places like Russia, Romania, Italy, France, Germany and even Ireland before they get to the UK and we actually speak the language of the films, where is the fairness in that? It's good concert, but the set list is a little bit boring. Most of the songs are performed on the other concerts we already got on DVD. But it's Queen, and the performance is great, no doubt! Especially "Play The Game" and "Save Me" are GREAT! But I think most of us here on QueenZone wants the old songs on DVD. A concert from the A Day At The Races-tour would be perfect! Earls Court, Houston '77 or The Rainbow '74 are my suggestions... The quality on these are excellent too |

Hello, I play drums. I have the new CD. All I can say is that, from my point of view and after a few concerts officially released, QRM is the FIRST one with a great, absolutly great drum (and bass guitar) sound. I was very pleased because the kick drum is cleary audible!!! at last!! And this new version of Flash is... HUGE. I almost cried after the first "flaaaash! TAHHHH!!!! aaaaahh!!!..." God, what a great record. The DVD is other thing... I'm not buying it. Already have the previous release. What do you think? |
