The amount of plastic used to replicate my vast arse alone, would leave a carbon footprint the size of Norway. fatty. |

You know what concerns me, terribly? I kind of want one. Even though the face of the Freddie bloke looks nothing like Freddie...I kind of want one. Does that mean that, soon, I'll be carrying about a Queen lunchbox, and, tacking giant Queen posters up in my living room? |
saltnvinegar 04.11.2007 22:01 |
The Brian one is cool but I'm distraught to see they decided to immortalise Freddie in that horrific black/white body stocking thing. At least the Neca doll was made in the more dignified Magic Tour outfit. |
goinback 04.11.2007 22:11 |
The Brian one is awesome, they never pick a good Freddie outfit for these things though. It's either that leotard or the ugly mustache...I'd like a 1979 leather Freddie or earlier '70s with that cool flowing-wings type of outfit Zandra Rhodes designed. |
Dusta 04.11.2007 22:19 |
Hee...hee...see, I was actually pleased to see THE HARLEQUIN LEOTARD immortalized in such a manner! It is just that the face looks nothing like Freddie which bothers me!

I don't know why, but these Freddie dolls always scare the hell about of me. It's nothing specific, but they're just really, really creepy. I'd never buy one of the three that I've seen (this one, the really scary one in black leather, and the Magic Tour one), in a million years. That said, the Brian one did look pretty cool. However, I didn't take a very close look at it, because I caught sight of the Freddie doll and shut the window instantly. |

Where they available for Halloween ? |

On the other hand, the Brian one is pretty wicked! Makes me want to have one... Hmmm... But I have enough problems! A doll is the last thing I need! :-) |
Erin 05.11.2007 11:46 |
Brian's pretty good. The face on the Freddie one looks like crap. I would totally buy the fatty doll, btw. |
onevsion 05.11.2007 13:02 |
Never thought I would say somthing like this but: I quite like the Brian doll. Wouldn't buy it though... Queen isn't about dolls. It's about music. |

Those are really poor. The BM one is much better than Fred I suppose, but BM still looks more like the singer from REO Speedwagon than he does BM, and Fred looks like the lead singer of Showaddywaddy. When you look at the McFarlane statues of Angus Young, Iron Maiden's 'Eddie', and Ozzie Osborne that have come out in the last few years, the Queen ones suck in comparison. |

I want a Roger one! Why couldn't they have done a Roger one? |
Micrówave 05.11.2007 17:14 |
Because of what you would do to the Roger one!!! |
Micrówave 05.11.2007 17:16 |
These look like re-worked Kevin Cronin and Trevor Rabin dolls. |

Ducksoup wrote: Queen isn't about dolls. It's about music.Aye, but it's a fun bit of merchandise to have! Mind, not many bands have dolls made after its members. ;P That said, the dolls are nice but I don't plan on buying them. I've got my 18" Freddie singing action figure and that's all I need. :P |

I think you get more inches for your money with the talking Freddie doll;) Btw Ms Carboengine (you are a Ms, right?) I can't believe you want the white leotard instead! It's so....revealing :P |

No doubt!!! I was youtubing with my son the other day, and, he commented that Freddie should put some underpants on. I hadn't noticed this...oversight...before, but, admit I was somewhat embarassed.
Imagine the sculptor and painter attempting to immortalize THAT!

wow! i want the Freddie one! i have the Wembley one, but I liked Freddie better in the 70's...looks, song style, pretty much everything. and the Wembley doll looks so sad! he sits on my vanity mirror-dresser thingy, so he always stares at me all sad-like when i'm getting ready for school, and i have to explain to him every morning why i have to go. ;) but really, those new ones are really pretty! i'd love the Brian, too. where are they Roger and Johns? |

Freddie wore underpants - I know he did! And especially under that white leotard, or perhaps it was an extra piece of cloth sewn into the actual garment. There was a thong string showing in the back, and a white triangle piece in the front. I think it is on the Hyde Park video or outtakes from that. Ummmmmm, just exactly what were you watching on youtube that made you fluster so?saltnvinegar wrote: I can't believe you want the white leotard instead! It's so....revealing :P |

Okay...I take it back. I don't KNOW that Freddie was not sporting his underhausen...I think my son was just a little surprised at seeing an outfit whereby an...area...could be, quite clearly, seen. And, in my defence, I DID defend Freddie!
Underhausen, or, not, Freddie has my son thinking he is the greatest thing since Billie Joe Armstrong(whinces)...though, my boy did inform me that Freddie wasn't really that good of a dancer. Apparantly, Billy Joe is far superior, to the mind of a ten year old, though, Freddie gets the nod as a better singer.
