After the release of CD/DVD of Queen Rock Montreal what can we expect on the future of Queen?
After almost 16 years have passed since the death of Freddie, Queen is still with no doubt one of the biggest band of all time with an extended memorabilia.
This is, in my modest opinion, what we can expect on future releases and everything related and concerned with Queen:
QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS:
-Release of the new Queen + Paul Rodgers album (sometime in 2008)
-Queen + Paul Rodgers Tour (2008/2009)
-After the Tour probably a release of a Live Queen + Paul Rodgers concert (CD/DVD)
QUEEN:
-Release of the Queen Book – I Want It All – Written by Brian May and Greg Brooks
-Greatest Video Hits 3
-Queen Live In Budapest 86 DVD (“It’s one of only three concerts of Queen captured on FILM, they are: Live at the Rainbow 1974, this concert, and Budapest 1986–which will be a future project.” Taken from Brian´s Soapbox-16 Oct 2007)
-Queen Live In Rio 85 DVD
-Live from Hammersmith 79 ????
-Live from Houston 77 ????
-Live from Earls Court 77
-Live from Hyde Park 76
-Live from Hammersmith 75
-Live from Live In Rainbow 74
-Release of Queen Rarities Box Set (in my opinion it is going to be divided in three parts, witch other accompanied with a documentary DVD-similar to Magic Years)
-Release of the Queen Live Box Set CD/DVD (containing a lot of songs from different concerts)
QUEEN MUSICAL:
-Continuation of the Premiere of the musical We Will Rock You in many countries around the globe
-Release of the musical We Will Rock You on DVD
-Sequel to the musical WWRY (some say it is going to be called Heaven for everyone)
-Release on DVD of the sequel of the musical WWRY
Jeez, I'm not gonna live to see the end of this list, I'll tell you that much.
Anyway, that is a good guess as far as material, but you never know, QP may surprise us.
...and release a 40th Anniversary Edition of Wembley 86, including even more footage of the old Wembley stadium being torn down, and more of Roger (and Bri maybe) ranting about it.
What about another half of a song from the first night!
Or maybe even some backstage footage from another unrelated concert from the Magic Tour
Think of the possibilities people!!!
A more realistic list
QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS:
-Release of the new Queen + Paul Rodgers album (sometime in 2008)
-Queen + Paul Rodgers Tour (2008/2009)
QUEEN:
-Greatest Video Hits 3
-Queen Live In Budapest 86 DVD (“It’s one of only three concerts of Queen captured on FILM, they are: Live at the Rainbow 1974, this concert, and Budapest 1986–which will be a future project.” Taken from Brian´s Soapbox-16 Oct 2007)

QUEEN MUSICAL:
-Continuation of the Premiere of the musical We Will Rock You in many countries around the globe
-Release of the musical We Will Rock You on DVD
-Sequel to the musical WWRY (some say it is going to be called Heaven for everyone)
-Continuation of the sequel in many countries around the world
-Release on DVD of the sequel of the musical WWRY
-Plugging of both musicals on an ongoing series of lowest common denominator TV shows, and in every official Queen product.
oh yes, and the middle section will take ANOTHER 16 years to complete
Was Rainbow shot on film? The PQ and frame rate looks like normal electronic TV camera style footage to me, like most of Queen's recorded concerts. Look sno different to Ham 75 shot by the BBc with TV cameras. Certainly doesn't look 'film like' like Budapest, Montreal and thee Japan 75 stuff was also shot on film (16mm by teh looks of it) although no full concert was filmed (?)
Hi
As far as Queen & PR are concerned, i think that the new album, could make em or break em, if they have come up with some classic Rock tunes, then i think the following:
1.New album/Tour 2008
2.End of 2008 Live DVD/CD/LP of the tour
3.Possibly future albums after that.
Queen as it was as a four some, well look at Elvis, the beatles, they will be around forever, they will most certainly release more live DVD'S, and i think we will rock you musical will have a sequel.
Thanks
I think that Brian will become the first person to play the Red Special on the moon and then take that on tour with 5ive, Elton John and Eminem around the galaxy in the WWRY Space Shuttle.
????????????
Brian's wrong (not for the first time).
Rainbow 74 was NOT recorded on film, it was shot and edited on good old VIDEO. I think this is preety obvious just by looking at it. also the fact that in the end credits it says 'Made by Trillion Video' and there's a credit to a VIDEO Tape editor are also further clues.
I'm talking about the 'Box of Flix' video, so unless there is another version filmed with FILM cameras that I don't know about.
