Freddie thought in English
| Bigbrotherbp 26.10.2007 06:48 |
Okey. this post is based on my last post about Freddie's language. Now, my question is: Freddie thought in English or in his native language? I mean, if I speak French very well..I'm still thinking in English. I have a friend, who lived in Russia for a long time. When he was 1-2 y/o, everything his parents said was English. But he went to school with Russian friends (all days), so when I asked him "what language are you thinking", he said: Russian. (although he speaks English like everybody else) |
| Sebastian 26.10.2007 06:54 |
Considering Freddie's mother tongue was English, he thought in English. Maybe ... I've never been inside his mind so I can only guess. |
| Serry... 26.10.2007 07:11 |
I more curious about - which font Freddie used for his thoughts? Arial? Verdana? Or Wingdings' symbols? |
| Sebastian 26.10.2007 08:24 |
Perhaps Times New Roman, because "time waits for nobody". |

This had to be one of the most useless topics of all time |

Who the fuck thinks in languages? I just think. |
| Benn 26.10.2007 12:09 |
He told me that he thought in Welsh, acted in Spanish and swore in Australian....... Why do these people fill up this board with such utterly irrelevant shit? |
| goodco 26.10.2007 12:37 |
He thought in Koi. |

Why couldn't you add this to previous spurious thread? 2. How do you expect anyone to know what fucking language he thought in? 3. What possible value could there be to this knowledge? |

I wish my life was so frivolous that I could spend my nights awake wondering what language a man who's been dead for 16 years thought in. |
| Dusta 26.10.2007 12:59 |
Oh, god, I did my own private spit take on this one...
That was damned funny, and, stands alone quite nicely, I think. Perhaps that should be the name of the Freddie film? "Which Font..."

If we think in languages, how do animals think? |

Do deaf people think in sign language? |
| Raststätte-Knödel 27.10.2007 11:01 |
I wonder in what way people who have been born deaf think, as they've never heard a language..so they can't think in language |

What about people who are both deaf and blind? |

It looks like the fans are running out of interesting subjects to talk about... The band should hurry up with the new album and tour, so that people will be too busy talking about it to think about this kind of shitty question. |

Good for you. Obviously not all Queenzoners do that. |
| QueenMercury46 27.10.2007 16:01 |
Do people even think in languages? When I think...words don't pop into my head and formulate a sentence unless I'm writing. I just.....think. Oh well, who cares. |
| Raf 27.10.2007 16:04 |
QueenMercury46 wrote: Do people even think in languages?More than 1 person has asked this. The answer is, yes. You notice that once you learn a foreign language. At first, you need to translate everything you read/hear to your native language. After some time, you're able to think in that language, so you don't need to translate anymore. A few years ago, I used to take long to write in English, because first I had to think in Portuguese, then translate it to English. Nowadays I can write as I think, because I think in English. |

I actually sometimes think in German without even paying any attention to it. Odd. I wish I could think in Russian, but I can't really change that because I don't feel like learning Russian. xD I wonder how the cavemen thought. Perhaps they thought in series of grunts and other unattractive noises. |

Big number of people are thinking on their mother tongue language even if they live somewhere where everyone around them are speaking some other language. |
