Check out this comment, taken from the above YouTube video:
"my dad was there to he said hangman was played before the whole shoot as a special welcome, but sadly only 2 minutes were played with the other 3 minutes being modern time rockn, roll, see what a fool i've been was played as a special encore[last time all these songs were played,hangman/modern time rocknroll not recorded, but my dad has it,not for sale"
Did anyone here attend the WATC video shoot, and can confirm this?
Queen did perform the songs like this at least once (as confirmed by the Milwaukee 3-1-76 recording), so perhaps it is true. Let's also note that the poster of the comment is 14 years old, and that it's also possible that his father could be confusing dates. It *was* 30 years ago!
Of course, the commenter says the recording isn't for sale (but also said "not recorded", whatever that means), but I'll try contacting him anyway.
Thoughts?
Contacting him would probably clarify what the boy is talking about. But definitely it would be very nice to have the complete concert, at least audio.
BTW of topic - Bob did you get at least one of my e-mails ? :-)
Well, it's probably not true. Recall that Bob Harris says "the band will play a set for you", which heavily implies that they haven't played a note yet.
Yes, I got all three of your emails...
My reply, for now:
Hard work pays off in the future, but procrastination pays off right now!
I'll get back to you soon, I promise. :)
Thanks :)
And btw when Freddie asks during the set what should they play, somebody asks for Hangman and the crowd starts demanding Hangman. It would be weird if they did already hear it that day, I think
Hi .
I was there and they didnt play hangman.
I was in the the first ten people to enter the venue. But i do remember being held up due to them doing some filming before we went in.I believe that was the"i've taken my bows and my curtain call" section. We were all given a free WATC singles(thats why we are all waving them around in the photo.Bob Harris came on and told us what was going to happen and you all know the rest.
Has anyone checked out the web-site related to the posted video?
Under the DVD bootlegs section there is apparently quite a few "Re-mastered" (Video & Audio) Widescreen versions of the widley known bootlegs collection that we are all familiar with. Just wondering if anyone has heard or seen any of this particular "re-mastered AND in 5:1 surround" stuff??
e.
Yes, I have a couple of his DVDs. They're far from perfect, I have some of the concerts in better quality, but he makes a good job putting interesting bonus stuff on the discs.

You didn't make a recording of the concert, did you ? Even the longest version created by SirGH is full of gaps, and I love full concerts :-)
Why oh Why did they not shoot video of this whole concert. My Lord the cameras were already there. This would have made such an incredible Documentary.Shots of the fans lined up outside out of there minds with anticipation.Candid shots of the band while shooting the video,an incredible concert in the bands absolute prime.Man that would have been phenomenal! This very possibly could have been one of the greatest Rock video's of all time!!Man that bums me out.:0(
Remember, this was before MTV or anything of the like. Also think of costs of film, renting equipment and such. Today everyone films everything, then, it would have been a waste of time and money, and if it had been filmed, it would just rot in the archives for years, and probably never see the light of day.
