This is nothing important but want to menton that earlier this week I was driving home listening to a local radio staton in Philadelphia. Everyday at 5 pm they take requests for everyone driving home from work & call it the 5 O'clock Attidute Adjustment. While the DJ, Andre Gardner was talking up the program his background music was FFTI! I have to say I was surprised. He play the entire intro, mixing into the next requested song just as Roger's vocals were about to start. That main riff is maybe Rogers best, it has a great groove.
That's pretty cool. I've always enjoyed 'Fight From The Inside'. It's a definite rocker with some killer guitar riffs. I'd say it is one of the highlights on 'News of the World'.
you know when PR was asking for songs-i suggested that one with him and R trading off vocals
esp. during that 'choked full of 70's songs' tour
Philly was always pretty good about playing them though--- many moons ago it was wysp and wmmr--
agh i miss those days....

WYSP and WMMR . . . the good old days. Yo Paulie and Steve: do you remember the late great Ed Sciaky? He was a good guy and a good friend.
Yes 102.9 WMGK.
Cindy, I remember Ed. One of the last great DJ's. Andre is good, but now he's subject to what the owners of his station allow him to play. Basically if it ain't in the computer they won't play it. Now most only have greatest hit compilations. Nobody "spins" a record like back in the day. Hell, they barely load up a CD. The music library has been cut in half thanks to corprate policy on play lists. I ask him to play his favorite Queen track all the time, Leaving Home... He would love to, but the negitive flack he would get from management isn't worth it. Radio was lame 10 yrs. ago, but it was head & shoulders bettr than it is today!
i am amazed at how Roger takes a very structured approach to his song-writing...many of his songs sound structually similar to his other compostions...little bits here and there
i can hear bits of FFTI that sound very alike to Hijack My Heart
