Wow, it looks very likely that next year will include the following tours: 1. Queen + Paul Rodgers 2. Van Halen(with David Lee Roth) 3. Led Zeppelin(with Jason Bohnam) I'd say that rock music is the one art form that can go retro back to the '70s and revive music that vs. today's best of the best and completely and utterly destroy it! I'd see the 2nd two over any modern band, and I'd see half of Queen with a replacement singer like Rodgers a 4th time rather than a lifetime supply of seeing any and every music show I wish to see. Hooray for the '70s and '80s rock revival. May this same reuniting revival never ever happen with the likes of Pear Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, The Darkness or most of the other noise referred to as modern rock music. P.S. Aerosmith is also putting out a new album and tour next year, but they haven't been missing for decades. |

Sweet dreams. (You forgot Pink Floyd by the way!) Neither of them will tour. If one would, it most likely would only be Van Halen. |

"been missing for decades" To be honest it's one of the main reasons why people are so happy about such reunions. Modern rock bands bring nothing to the music, old bands made some kinda revolutions in the music in the past, but in our days most of them are just playing their old songs and musically there's nothing new neither (I mean not new songs, I mean something what made them famous in old days), IMHO. Nostalgia, nothing more. |

I know Pearl Jam at LEAST just released a new live DVD. |

Don't hold your breath for Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant has said that this show is a one off and that they will not be touring. Not sure if Pearl Jam are on tour but The Smashing Pumpkins are. They are playing Columbia later this year. |

LOL! Van Halen with David Lee Roth started their tour 3 nights ago. Where have you been? Check it out, they're back. And Led Zeppelin with Jason Bohnam is playing a show late in November to test the waters like Paul, Brian and Roger did. My guess is that they wouldn't be doing the test show if there wasn't a really strong chance for a reunion tour next year. They have even said that if it works out an '08 tour would likely follow. I'd say the odds of all 3 touring are 90%. Zeppelin is likely, Van Halen is happening now, and our boys have said what they've said. |

On September 12, 2007, it was confirmed during a press conference by promoter Harvey Goldsmith that the surviving members of Led Zeppelin will reunite in aid of the Ahmet Ertegun education fund for a show at the O2 Arena in London on 26 November 2007, with Jason Bonham filling in on drums.[70] Tickets were made available via a lottery system through Ahmettribute.com, costing £125 / $250.[71] The website exceeded its bandwidth allowance and crashed almost immediately following the announcement, with the promoter predicting that the gig will cause the "largest demand for one show in history",[72] due to the ticket request site receiving 120 million hits, with 25 million people registering for 20,000 available tickets. The tribute concert will also feature Pete Townshend, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, Paolo Nutini, and Foreigner as supporting acts. Jason Bonham will drum for both Led Zeppelin and Foreigner, a band Bonham has been a member of since 2004. According to sources in World Entertainment News Network[73], talks between Page, Plant and Jones suggest that if the reunion concert is a success, a tour may be considered. It is also rumoured that Led Zeppelin is planning another one-off in the under-refurbishment Ulster Hall in Belfast, in 2009.[73] This came off Wikipedia. I so strongly doubt that Plant would be doing this show only considering the ridiculous amount of money to be made. The Rolling Stones are breaking the bank with every tour. What then could Zeppelin make? I am completely convinced they are more popular than the Stones, and while the Stones tour every 3 or so years, Zeppelin toured last during the Jimmy Carter administration. I was 6 then, now I am 33. I saw Plant/Page in the mid 90's which practically is a Led Zeppelin tour, but this should easily break every tour record in history, probably records that are about to fall with the Van Halen tour. My god, even the Beatles are releasing some Lennon track like they did with the Anthologies which apparently has a Harrison recording somehow thrown into it. What's next, Elvis? |

Van Halen would br great to see, but Van Halen on tour in Europe is the same as the box set with queen rareties. Everybody is talking about it and prommesing that it will not take long, but ... I hope they come to Europe (they still sound great), but I think they will not, sadly. |

Speaking to Uncut, the singer said: "There'll be one show and that'll be it. We need to do one last great show. Because we've done some shows and they've been crap." When asked if he thought he would be tempted to play more shows if the O2 Arena gig goes well, Plant replied: "Not for me. But I can't speak for anyone else." link |

Yes, if anyone thinks Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones are touring together next year... they might wanna ask Robert first.
Jimmy Page will tour with anyone who pays him enough money.
John Paul Jones has never come out and said one way or another.
And who cares what Jason Bonham does, really?

They say, that almost 20 million peapole was trying to buy a ticket for the Zeppelin gig. If that´s not a reminder to Plant and his boys just how BIG they were/are, i don´t know what. |

I simply do not believe Robert Plant completely if he actually has stated anything to indicate that he definitely won't play with Zeppelin beyond the November show. For one reason, he swore even that show wouldn't happen. For another, he has absolutely no logical reason not to do a full tour unless he really, really just isn't interested in doing it. He'd make his fans ecstatic, he'd shatter any and all tour grossing records that the Rolling Stones might have, and he's completely maintatin respect towards John Bohnam by keeping the name going only because a Bohnam wields the drumkit. I think Brian and Roger had no efforts towards even fantasizing about Queen ever returning, and then the Paul thing just sort of happened and worked great. Well this is a lot closer to the real deal with Zeppelin, and he'd even be privelaged not to put up with the garbage that Queen has from purists who expect some sort of sacred policy being observed with the band name. And so you know, John Paul Jones has stated how bummed he was back when Page/Plant was touring around without him. |

Yeroen, no I´m not suprised. However.. Fact 1. Tony Iommi has not been trying to hide his frustration over the fact that Ozzy can´t preform any shows longer than 1.20-1.30h. Fact 2. Both Heaven and hell and Ozzy spent this year touring with an amazing somewhat 200 shows altogether. Are they up for another year of touring? Fact 3. Ozzy sounds like s*it. I still can´t figure out why he didn´t quit while he was still a good singer. No disrespect to anyone, I love Ozzy, I got him tattooed on my leg. I love Both Dio and the HAH project, awsome stuff. But I just can´t see that The "old Sabbath" on tour next year. |
