Sorry there are probably too many threads of this sort around, but still, discussion!
Love 'em? Loathe 'em? I personally am a relatively new fan but love the music even their newer stuff.
Although judging Nicky Wire made his feelings quite clear about Freddie Mercury around about the time of the tribute concert, maybe this isn't the best place...
I loved 'Motorcycle Emptiness' the moment I first saw it on MTV back in 1992/1993, but only became a fan after Richie's disappearance and the 'Everything Must Go' album.
Besides the good music, there are a couple of other reasons why I really appreciate them... I like the fact that they don't jerk the audience around with encores. After the set is over, the concert is over.
It's also remarkable that with every new single release they also put out a batch of B-sides which are just as good as the album tracks. The new single coming out next week ('Indian Summer') will have another five new songs spread across the three formats.

Motorcycle Emptiness is one of my favourite songs ever, it's just fantastic.
I haven't heard loads of their stuff actually, I've been downloading songs bit by bit, and so far what I've heard I've liked. I'm really liking 'Your Love Alone Is Not Enough'
So yes, I like them, and should probably stop illegally downloading half their back catalogue.
