Why was We Will Rock You included on the UK Greatest Hits, while it's officially a B-side and Flick of The Wrist was an official A-side(with Killer Queen)?
Popularity?
OK, if it's about popularity, then why wasn't Tie Your Mother Down included?
Sure, because it wasn't a top 20 hit like the rest.
But still...
Discuss. xD
Even though 'FotW' and 'KQ' were a double-A, both the radio and the band promoted only 'KQ' (e.g. live, TotP). 'WWRY' and 'WatC' are usually played together, so that's the actual reason for it being included there IMO.

if I had to create a fourth greatest hits, well, my options would be
Spread your wings
In the lap of the gods
Keep yourself alive (I know that it's in a GH or Classics)
Stone Cold Crazy (same)
Tie your mother down
Death on two legs
I'm in love with my car
Mustapha
Let us cling together
Dragon Attack
Father to Son
Ogre Battle

Not all of those were singles. That's the thing about Greatest Hits packages -- all of the selections were singles.

Yeah, that's why I said "not all", songs like 'Ogre Battle', 'Father To Son', 'I'm In Love With My Car', and 'In The Lap Of The Gods' weren't singles in any territory.

Mr. Burnham I suggest your review GHIII again.
Pah, I was going to edit that into my original post, but didn't. Let's just assume that whenever I say "Greatest Hits packages", I mean I and II... III never happened, as far as I'm concerned ;)

well i bet brian is pissed off he didn't nod to TYMD being on GH!!! I'm so surprised Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy is on it, i'm delighted it is, but its like have You Take My Breath Away on GH
Discuss. xD
'Lover Boy' was the main track for Queen's First EP, and received the most attention when released in May 1977. It hit #17 in the UK, 14 places than TYMD, so it had every right to be on GH1.

I stand corrected. BTW, am I the only one who thinks 'Someday One Day' should have been a single?
I thought they "flipped" the single at one point so that WWRY would technically get the #1 billing.
I seem to remember reading that some where...perhaps liner notes. I'll have to check when I get home.

I thought you werer allot smatter than this.
Werer? Smatter? You're a lot dumber than i thought. xD
These days a greatest hits album is usually based around the hit singles, favourite album tracks of fans and most popular live tracks. Also some songs were released as singles in some countries and not others. Flick of the wrist was not a UK single but was a double A side US single. And Princes of the Universe was not a UK single but appeared on GH3 here becuase of it's poularity among fans. At least Queen have enough hit singles to fill 3 greatest hits albums. How many bands can say that?
Well, Assdude, it sure as hell beats being *you*. What do you do with your life? You whine, you curse and you insult. That's it. Nobody likes you (which is your own fault, because you act like a complete ass *all the time*), nobody gives a damn. So, the bottom line is: yeah, I'd rather be Fairy King than you. In fact, I'd rather be a dungheap than you.
