"The Magic Years" is twenty years old. Time to be released on DVD in a new "20 year super special remastered anniversary edition with all new unseen footage!"
They could add extras and make it a box set. Maybe even update the thing through at least Freddie's death. Or add "Champions of the World" as Vol. 4:
Volume One: The Foundations
Volume Two: Live Killers In The Making
Volume Three: Crowned In Glory
Volume Four: Champions of the World
I've always wanted to see the full uncut interviews with all the stars (Paul McCartney, John Entwistle, Elton John, etc.) talking about Queen instead of just the short snippets they showed. Undo all of DORO's crazy-fast editing. Maybe show all the raw footage used to compile the montages.
I know it's another crazy idea, just like Lester's. After all, this is a 20 year old video. Why on earth would Queen Productions want to rerelease something we all own already?
I think it would be good to just do a whole new documentary in the next few years. As it is there will be the Freddie Mercury movie if you all remember. Otherwise I think that they should leave "The Magic Years" documentary and "Champions Of The World: Made In Heaven" alone.
I agree, a new documentary is definitely needed. But I figure with QP's penchant for rereleasing old material we'll probably get the Magic Years before anything new. If they do release it, hopefully the extras will be more than just "backstage at Live Aid".

Champions of the World should cover The Miracle and Innuendo too, as the Magic Years series covered the band's career till the Knebworth concert.
And i would prefer one big boxset, not made by DoRo and spanning their entire career.
