I have read that the official Queen Fan Club decades ago gave away or sold "Q" earrings as an incentive to join or other reason. I have never seen "Q" earrings for sale on ebay, and eil.com has a picture of them, but they are never available. I would love to have "Q" earrings. Does anyone know the history? There was a necklace, also, according to eil.com. link link
This is the kind of serious discussion we need!
OK, in my experience Fan Club merchandise came and went quite quickly, so this may well have only been available for a short time.
If it was produced after about 1985, it was probably made by Adrian Hopkins productions.
I don't recognise them personally from any fan club merchandise I saw in the 20 years I've been in the fanclub, BUT they're not the sort of thing I'd pay much attention to anyway, being unpierced, male & having a modicum of taste...
Oops, I see there is a category now called collecting and trading started August 31, 2007. Yes, the "Q" earrings should have gone there. In the serious discussion category, however, there have been a number of threads about collections, albeit primarily cds, videos, dvds. I have three Queen cloth "posters/flags" that I value above all of my recordings and books, so they are "serious" to me. I am sorry you have only a "modicum" of taste which thesaurusly means a tiny or insignificant amount. Had you had a behemothic of good taste, then you would understand what a priceless item the "Q"s are!
