hello.
i want to talk with you about the c64. link
with that website you can listen to 10thousands of songs made with only the c64.
you have to download deliplayer.
and then you can listen to every format of music in the world 240!!!!!!!.
the reason i like this music is because:that chip is based on analog synthesis and i like analog synths
Ah yes, Yannes' SID chip. It was an amazing chip. Designed by the founder of Ensoniq, who now make shitty keyboards. But they used to make great gear, before the buyout.
The SID chip featured some marvelous technology, some of which is still incorporated in today's synths.
three separately programmable independent audio oscillators with an 8 octave range
four different waveforms per audio oscillator: sawtooth, triangle, pulse, noise
one multi mode filter featuring low-pass, high-pass and band-pass outputs with 6 dB/oct or 12 dB/octave rolloff.
three attack/decay/sustain/release volume controls, one for each audio oscillator.
three ring modulators.
oscillator sync for each audio oscillator.
I believe that was 1981. Amazing.
when i was knee high to a grasshopper in the mid 80's everyone i knew had a commodore 64 computer except me.i had a VIC20,the poor man's version.the only decent game for it was Frogger.it was the same in the 70's with the Chopper pushbike, everyone had one of those except me,i had a Tomahawk.
not that im bitter and twisted about it and still hold a grudge about it to this day,no siree not me.
*clenches fists and mutters curse words under his breath*
commodore 64 is truly a cool machine.
what you can do with the sound source is realy phhenomenal.
ihad one with box but i sold it with my dumb head for 25euro,s
yeah you can do loads of awesome things with it.
there are people who convert midi files in to sid files.
and people who integrate just what you said a sid chip type 6521 or 6532 if im correct in to the keyboard.
it makes wicked sounds
