Remixed/ruined
Actually I think it just means he fiddled with the channels, so that elements that predominate on the left or right channel become more prominent in the mix. Its of modest interest, but as I'm listening to the "White Queen" track right now, I would hardly call it "ruined". If anything the differences are so subtle you would wonder why anyone would bother.
Well I've listened to this remix and I must say he fiddled quite nicely. The intro's sometimes sounds interesting. And the mix seems to be flawless.
But of course the original has it all. No need to change a thing of the original Masterpiece.
I can imagine it's fun to recreate a Queen song (or album in this case) to see what you can do with it.
Bloody hell, haven't heard this in a while. Remember when this was first released! Some nice touches on here, basically uncovering whats going on in certain channels.
If I'd have done this though, I would have removed Loser In The End and added The Prophet's Song or Lily of the Valley. Make it a true concept album!

I agree, but there are at least two things that i would change:
1. "Funny how love is" starts to fade too early- begining of the third verse- where they start to harmonize voices. I don´t know why all the effort in making those beautifull choires if they were going to fade it out.
2. The guitar on "Father to son" is too weak. It has big guitars, and it´s a heavier song, but i thing that the guitar should be louder in the solo section, instead of hearing it on one side of the stereo with an echo on the other side.
But, it´s still among the Queen master pieces.
Take care
