Hi all,
I would like to let you know that I'm just finished to "re-build" my QueenCuttings.com site, after one year from its first HTML version.
This new version (I like to call it QueenCuttings2.0) has more or less a similar "vintage" layout but as its now written on ASP code instead of HTML (anyway based on an opensource platform 'cause I'm not a computer programmer), QueenCuttings2.0 has some new features.
It's now a "mix" between a site and a "blog". You can now search every articles by keyword, leave comments on every items, you can add my site to your FEED aggregator too (if you use any)
And there is a full CREDITS page in which I list all contributors profiles (if there are some friends reading now that can't see their profile, please contact me).
And, the most important thing, you still have ALL cuttings, articles and adverts divided into the same category (70s, 80s, 90s and on, Solo and Q+PR)
I hope you all like this new version. I do. But I would like to receive your comments (good or bad) and suggestions.
Thank you one more time to all of you @ queenzone.com for the support you always gave and you're still give to me and my site.
Rock on!

Hey Hey!
Thats an Excellent site.
How would one go about contributing should they have some articles not seen there? Would you accept scanned copy's ect etc?
Thank you for your comments. Yes, you can send me your scanned article/cuttings (that aren't already on line), whatever to my mail.
And yes, I'd prefer original cuttings, not copies. That's because they are more enjoable and you can read them easiest.
Btw, if it's a very interisting article (especially from 70s for istance) I can upload copies too (as I already did in the 80s sections, with Marknow's cuttings).
@ erin
Thank you to you too. And yes please, waiting for your scans ;)
Rock on

Rock on!

I do have a few which i want to post for a long time, but i need some advice on scanning - i am not an expert in that field... which dpi is the best, 200-300? and in what size?
Is it ok to scan a big page in four parts then you make one big jpg ? However hard i try, these Melody Maker / NME pages can only be scanned in four parts...

Hi Miklos
300 dpi would be ok. And don't worry about the "size"... The bigger, the better... I mean, the article HAS TO BE READ, so if the image is big and clean, it will be ok.
And don't worry, if the image is too big, I will reduce it.
It's ok what you say about "large page", you can scan it in 4 parts, and I will make one unique big page.
That's all, but feel free to mail me if you need more info.
Rock on, thanks for your comments guys :)
I know this is a very old topic but I'm using it to tell you I've just update my site with new (old, really) cuttings, after 3 months from my last update.
Damn it, It's not easy to take care at things with love in this period... Btw, for me at last :)
Anyway, now you can find very nice stuff from the 70s (albums and shows (and party!) reviews) plus a special article apperad on GUITAR WORLD on july, 2000
I hope I can share with you more very soon, thank you for your patience :)
PS
As always, I'm ready to receive contributions (that will be credited!)

Hey. Thank you! It's a wonderful website. I'm delighted to make your acquaintance. Nice to meet you. Great to know about this website, there's so much interesting info on the band.
Dear,
thank you, you've always gave me very positive feedbacks on my site, since the beginning. I really appreciate it, I feel happy to receive such a good support from another webmaster as me, who's running another excelent Queen site full of info and details ( http://sebastian.queenconcerts.com/ )
I have got a couple of plastic carrier bags full of newspaper cuttings, reviews, interviews etc from British press and magazines; I'll have a look through!
