Yes, it's August and I'm back at school already. Because Stupid Scottish School System means that I'm off at the end of June and wishing I wasn't so smug then when, come late August, I have to go back before, seemingly, all the English schools. Ah well, anyone going back? If so vent your frustration here... |

Back already? Jesus, it isn't even September yet. I have a year off until I go to university. Woohoo. |
IllusionalGirl 21.08.2007 16:40 |
I go back in a few weeks. I never knew scottish schools went back in august! Any reason why they decided to do that ? Lol |

I go back next Monday. :S I both want to go back and don't want to go back, like usual. It'll be nice to see the people I like and of course nauseating to have to deal with the people I've had so much pleasure to spend ten weeks away from for the next 180 days. But I'll be in eighth grade so hopefully things will go by faster (Although my 7th grade year did seem to go by fast. :O) Lovely thread idea. ;) |

MARV!!!!!!!!!! NO SMOKING, remember!!!!!!! And the school system question: American school system, those ages go are Grade 10 (also known as your sophomore year in high school) Here's the complete breakdown: Grade 9 (Freshman)- Ages 14-15 Grade 10 (Sophomore)- Ages 15-16 Grade 11 (Junior)-Ages 16-17 Grade 12 (Senior) Ages 17-18 These are all called "High School" or "Senior High School"...after this you go to university. Me? I go back for year 2 of my Masters Degree on Monday, and I can't wait!!! Me and my geeky self...just went on the pre-grad school shopping trip with friends and spent WAY too much on new clothes..... |

I'm going to that "university" thing this Thursday. I'm not frustrated. I'm a little under-prepared - but nothing to do with the academics. I don't have my licence and if I have to learn to drive a manual transmission, I might as well just buy that bus pass now and good riddance - it's cheaper than gas anyway. |

All I'm saying is GCSE's tend to go way better than you expect. And the examiners are bloody generous. |

I'm going to be a sophadork this year in college. I'm actually looking foward to school. Not cause of learning and crap. I have a bunch of boring history and government classes this semester. But I mean...summer is where everyone takes off for vaccation away from school. All mah friends went their own ways and I haven't seen them in a LONG time. School (for me) is forcibly bonding friends together! :D Now isn't that nice? :P |
