Dark side of the Moon and The Wall are timeless classic concept albums. Not even would Queen bother to do something like that (they could, but preferred not to, I guess) because they had a different style. Queen II is the closest they got, I think. Listen to those Pink Floyd albums and tell me that they are uninspired and lack emotion. There is more feeling in the opening chord of "In the Flesh" than on all your band's songs. And that is a FACT! Every individual song might not be Bohemian Rhapsody but the whole is much greater that the sum of its parts. I feel sorry for you if you don't get emotion from any of those recordings. I have to be in a certain mood to enjoy it. It's not "disposable pop" like Queen's 80s output, so you have to really LISTEN to it. Watching brief YouTube clips predisposed not to like them is not the way to get to know an artist. Wiley |

What I find mind-boggling is that TM, you will post your song on here, obviously looking for opinions about it, and get all defensive when we give you our REAL opinions.... I mean, what do you expect, for everyone to say "It's great!" "I loved it!" and whatnot? D: |
inmydefence 21.08.2007 21:06 |
ok.... so you CRITISIZE all the music thats released today because its short three chord crap, soul-less, repetitive, no emotion.... then you listen to a piece of genius from pink floyd and call it stale?! PROOF if ever it were needed that you really have NO IDEA what you're on about! link check out this video.... the song's called "on the turning away". if you say this lacks emotion then you're a bigger fucking retard than I first thought! Its unbelievable.... pink floyd.... STALE??! makes me wanna hunt you down and plunge my thumbs into your eye sockets until you admit how rubbish and wrong you are. |

I dunno guys, you must be really bored Cookies, Brian-Harold-May (sp?) and Treasure Moment especially. The only reason this thread reached 4 freakin' pages is because you guys had to keep a stupid arguement going for much longer than it needed to. It stopped being funny around the eighth page of the last 10 page thread. Just cut it out. You know whatever you say will just get TM riled up. This doesn't need to happen again. And for Treasure Moment, even though you like to speak your mind and make sure people know that you feel they are wrong (whether they are or not), it isn't necessary and it makes you look like an almighty twit. Even if you do make a valid arguement about something in the future no one is going to take you seriously unless you stop doing this. Just settle down for a little while. Just so I don't feel guilty about filling a whole post with a long-winded rant, I'll post an honest review of the song that isn't too rude. I for one actually enjoy techno from time to time, but I feel that the song shouldn't continue as a techno song. I feel you (and/or the band) released the song too early, and that you should have developed it a bit more. You have a catchy melody in the song that could possibly be incorporated into a more rock-y song. As for the whole song, in all honestly, it was a bit repetitive. But that all ties into the fact that you put out the song before you could really develop it. Just throwing in my 2 cents, but you should keep working on it. Preforably as a rock song. |

Ahem.. Atomic Raygun Attack! atomicraygunattack.com Deadly Deadly Bees is closer to Bohemian Rhapsody than any other song I've heard yet. Treasure Moment, you could REALLY learn from these guys. oh, and that band "Soap" that me and Layla formed is probably also gonna be better than your stuff, and the drummer is the only one who KNOWS how to play her instrument. |

I guess we could change it to a rock song when we play live and maybe work on it and put in another melody in it so that it doesnt get repetetive as you say. |

Evidentally you do if you keep putting yourself around people who have said they don't like you and you feel the need to keep responding so you just contradicted yourself right there. You have like 2 to 3 other's now telling you your music sucks but what do you do? You retreat back to this fantasy world you live in and have the audacity to tell them "they don't have no taste". Dude if your shit was actually good you might have a reason to be a bit conceited but its not so you need to wake up Alice cuz your in Wonderland again. The very fact that you submit like 10 submissions a day to this site on multiple posts proves that you CARE about what the people on this site think so give it a rest for real. Your beginning to look really stupid. |

I don't know why you guys expected him to like The Wall. You have to be human to identify with that music, and these guys don't qualify. Seriously, they've got it easy... haven't you noticed the pattern? TREASURE MOMENT: I haven't heard (insert band here). I will listen to them. (comes back later) They're okay, but too basic and predictable compared to our amazing songs. .. OR .. They're all about the technique, they have no emotion in their songs. Ad-fucking-nauseum. It's the easiest job in the world; all he has to do is sit there and write 'I am the best'. By our own logic, we can't really prove him wrong... if it is indeed about 'taste' :) I'll just go on record here as saying I really don't like Treasure Moment. Fuck Treasure Moment right in the ear. It's not your music which turns me off though. It's your freaking attitude. If you'd been nice to people when you came here and didn't wave around an ego fifty times bigger than your music, they might've given it a better reception. SHIT I mean I came on here with my music the other day, knowing full well the performances were rough as all fuck... but people were nice about it because I wasn't a total DICK. |

Well I've had a listen. It's not really my cup of tea but it sounds well produced. I'm not really a fan of synth produced music as most tends to utilise a lot of preprogrammed voices and midi tracks. To be honest, ten minutes fiddling with the midis on a synth and pretty much anyone could do it. I note from your myspace that you have a drummer. Did you utilise him for the drums or did you just incoporate the drum track from the synth. I did on the otherhand like Warriors. |

People are naturally suspicious of synth produced music due to the pre-programmes and midis they possess. I could quite easily get a decent song out of a synth within ten minutes or so and most people wouldn't know that what I'd done was that much different to what you've done. For all I know you're an excellent keyboard player who just likes that sort of sound and have in effect reproduced manually what the synth could have done automatically. Thats the problem with modern techno, there's not much originality in it and its tough on those that are not just using preprogrammes and midis and adding basic melodies over the top. I lived through the 80's and a lot of music from that era was produced by one fingered keyboard players. |
