When I went to see The Who back in June, some guys there near us were rumoring this too. If it does happen, it'll probably be something like £200. *BOMB DROPS*
I'm not sure though myself.
I don't think it's going to happen. This rumor pops up every year or so, and it's always false. If they weren't going to reunite for a tour in the 80s or 90s, they certainly aren't going to reunite now. Robert, Jimmy, and John Paul are busy working on other things.
Thanks for the information, Jessie. :) It is greatly appreciated.
And, Lester, I see your point. But why wouldn't they tour again? Queen have done it, Black Sabbath are about to tour, and so are Def Leppard and several other classic rock bands. Bob Dylan was performing near my hometown last weekend. I hope they DO tour. It would be great to see them. :) But then again, rumors aren't reliable. :/
Yeah, but I'm just saying that as far as Led Zep were concerned, they died when Bonham did, so it would be weird after 27 years for them to start touring again. Plus, John Paul doesn't really get along with the others (as far as I can tell -- just see the No Quarter tour in '94, when he wasn't asked to partake), so I don't see this happening right now, if at all. Besides, Robert has spent a lot of years putting Led Zep behind him and putting out his own music.

I'm still pissed that The Who gave up on Australia. Bastards.
Oh, so would I (provided I could afford the tickets). And The 'oo might be back someday... I think they couldn't do the tour because of stupid ol' Zak and his commitments to that other band he's in...
As far as I'm concerned... if The Eagles and The Police can get back together, then so can Zeppelin. LZ's internal problems were nowhere near as bad as theirs!
But again, being a big Zeppelin fan, there's a bit of optimism speaking there.
I read something on Ultimate-Guitar.com sometime in July about the band denying rumours about a reunion tour.
But then, Brian May denied hundreds of times in December 2004 that there would be a Queen tour featuring Paul Rodgers.
"Well, they wouldnt do Perth even if they did tour, so.... Even terorrists wouldnt even do Perth."
I fucking hate saying this, but you're right. Fuck! All we get is fucking Robbie "I CAN'T SING A NOTE WITHOUT SOUNDING LIKE A FUCKSTICK" Williams....
"I think they couldn't do the tour because of stupid ol' Zak and his commitments to that other band he's in..."
Oh shit. Actually he's a big drawcard as far as me ever paying up to see The Who is concerned.... he's awesome!!
DITCH Oasis, they're not even a real band Zak. Christ's sake.
Pink Floyd had a lot of problems in the band, but they've tried.
I don't think it will be as energetic as when it used to be. I've not heard Plant's voice since the Morocco thing. It was better then let's say FM tribute or Live Aid.
IF they would tour it would really depend on the ability for the guess to still play the Led Zep songs like they used to be...
I wonder who would fill in Bonham's place and if there would be a Moby Dick in the setlist.
It does not look like it will happen at the moment.
These rumour come up every now and then and yes, lately they've been very strong.
Robert, John Paul and Jimmy actually have been speaking together about performing. They intned (or intended) to do one performance as a tribute to the late head of Atlantic Records. Still needs to happen.
Robert said a couple of weeks ago that they would do 'the charity gig' if things worked out. What he meant was Live Earth. Robert Plant was in fact confirmed as one of the performing artists and the big surprise of it all would have been John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Jason Bonham joining him.
This bounced at the very last minute and after that the only official notice is Plant saying he does not feel like doing it...
to be continued...
"I've not heard Plant's voice since the Morocco thing."
There are terrible quality videos on Youtube from last year of Robert Plant. The sound is awful, but Plant himself is hitting great high notes again by the sound of things.
"Dude, hope you didnt take me to seriously, Im in melb man, so im just having a joke with ya."
Hehe - no I understand it's a joke, but when you think about it... it's also absolutely true. Perth is the Parson's Nose of touring bands. America gets The Who - and I get Lionel Richie. >:(
