Sounds like the real thing to me. Convention recording - I was at the UK convention when it was played. David Coppins: If you can't tell it's Brian's guitar and Freddie's unmistakable voice on this recording, then you need your ears cleaning out - or are you suggesting that it's not FIA but some other song? And even if some Queen cover band had the idea to record an unreleased Queen song, they surely would have done it with proper (even if invented) lyrics and in good technical quality. Nonsense! |

Thank you, the uploaders of the “Face it alone“-extract. I don’t know the complete Version, but ist’s nice to hear. For me, it has similarities to the tempo and mood of “Mother Love” and “A Winter’s Tale”, even to the FM-demo “You’re the only one” and - if I hear Brians guitar - to the spanish section of Innuendo. But, after hearing 1:40 of this song, I really don’t understand the hysteria about queen demos and this song especially anymore. For me, the elements of this track had found another, a better place in other - published - Songs. We all have heard all the releases of this band und should accept, that no more sensations can be expected from this wonderful area between 1970 and 1991. Hear “Feelings, Feelings” or “Robbery”, or “I guess we’re falling out” (later some chords were used in “my life has been saved”) - I can’t hear any jewel in all this material, FIA so far inclusice. Demos? I prefer the “realos” ... but thanks again for publishing the “Face it alone“-extract. |
