In response to a request, here is the DVD of the 27 September 1984 show. It was filmed by a fan in the back rows (thanks, whoever you are!) who no doubt did his best but this cannot be compared to a pro-shot video. If you want professional quality, this is not for you. Hi Ginger01 If I open the files, and play the dvd he has problems with the menu and VOB files. I use a special program to look at the dvd on my pc. If i open the files: for example (video ts) than he gives problems to play the dvd menu. |

Nero will ask if you want to merge the files. I said no - I don't think it makes much difference. Anyway Nero will then analyse the files (this takes a good 20 minutres). Once it has finished and you see the screen with the little miniatures, click next, create your title page, go to next. Here they ask if you want to view your film - click next - then there is another screen with options - I just clicked next and then you start coding and (finally) burning. The next stage takes over half an hour. It will ask for a disk right at the end when it's really to burn. Anyway, hope this helps! I know Nero can be termperamental at times, hopefully the next time will work for you :) |

As my thanks for sharing this concert here is the way to repair the dvd file structure without re-encoding and making worse this already weak recording of this great concert. We Are The Champions is not cut then! Even the dvd includes GSTQ at the end. This is full, complete video! First add to the VIDEO_TS folder file in attachment (VIDEO_TS.IFO). Second you have to download TMPGEnc DVD Author. Now run the TMPGEnc and do the following: 1. Click 'Create new project' 2. Now click 'Add DVD video' and select the VIDEO_TS folder. 3. On the new window should be automatically selected Title1 with correct recording time and capacity. Click Next. 4. On the next window should be selected "Reading chapter information". Click OK. 5. Now TMPGEnc quickly reads the chapter information and automatically creates the chapters. 6. Now title the Clip name, you can check the chapters clicking on the button Chapter cut edit and click finally OK. 7. Click Create menu button. If you have time to play with it you can create your own menu or let it as proposed and title every chapter - song track. I didn’t so I selected "No menu" - but chapters are still saved and you will be able do jump between them. 8. Finally click Output - and start Begin output. Remember that this is not re-encoding. It's only re-creating correct mpeg2 stream and file structure. The program starts working, and after a dozen of minutes we have right DVD structure with chapters ready to burn. Anyway I'm wondering if this is not a pro-recording, but very, very high generation? Look at the closing subtitle after WATCH - "A NIGHT WITH QUEEN" - it looks like from studio console. And in the beginning, in the first second on the video it's noticeable a while subtitle "MONITOR". Maybe there is somewhere a perfect clean copy of this recording? |

Hello Jonnhycastelo, Yes there is something wrong with that DVD, What you can do is make a copy of the VIDEO_TS.BUP file and change the .BUP extension in .IFO Than the DVD can be burned. Succes ! I think this plays a little too fast. I was gonna speed correct the audience tape to this but the Machines Intro plays about 5 seconds faster on the video when compared to copies of the Machines Intro from other shows that definitely play at the correct speed. |
