On my other current thread, YV wrote...
Borat, I think you bark up the wrong tree: "deleted" - or Monsieur M as I prefer to call him - is a top video collector and his word is the gospel for me when it comes to video :)
I replied as follows and I think it warrants a thread of its own...
Mr M, deleted, whatever your name is (don't get me started on that again... you know who I am, because I use my real name not a silly alias, but we don't know who you really are)... if you are really as knowledgable on Queen Live footage/video as YV thinks you are, then great, email me and join our little team.
We are trawling the net and THIS SITE and distilling all the info down into a managable form. There is MUCH rumour and misinformation to decipher, and lots of good leads and important data to weed from all the other stuff. We are seriously trying to gather it all. Lend us your knowledge Mr deleted.
While we are on the subject... JUST WHO ARE THE GREATEST EXPERTS OUT THERE ON QUEEN FOOTAGE/VIDEOS??? I guess they too should give these findings a look at some point.
I am in touch with two Dutch chaps who know masses of info, and a couple more here in the UK. There is much info on QZ to focus on, but it would help if we assemble those who know most. So who has the best overview of Queen live on film and video???

Well....I guess we all know it's not you.
These kind of posts are not helpful at all. I hate negativism. That leads to nothing which is as bad as the starting position.
There have been interesting posts by greg. And he promises us more so we should be patient. If he not delivers , then you can shoot:-)
A question greg, could Queen release a live cd from the NOTW '77 tour or the crazy tour, or A day at the races Europe? A box with 3 shows from these tours would be my ultimate live release: it's late, the millionaire waltz, good old fashioned loverboy, if you can't beat them, liar, in the lap of the gods, sweet lady, white queen, ogre battle, mustapha, my melacholy blues, white man, stone cold crazy, you take my breath away...You get my point!!Songs that I would like to hear on a live release but will it ever happen?

That´s the way... Think positive!!!
By the way... how are the chicks on "Dreamer´s Ball"... very tasty & spicy, aren´t they ??? ;-)

Who are the "dutch chaps" you are in contact with?
It's not us! ;-)
Maybe he should, though ;-)
Greg, perhaps you should leave an e-mailadress in your post. Because of some situations in here, most of the collectors that REALY know more concerning video's that others don't even know excist, tend to keep rather quiet on these pages.
Cheers

He Jeroen, I should mail you again........
I think GB means this persons. I see two "Dutch chaps" in the list.
"GB REPLIES: I have always endorsed the merging our QPL people and Queen fans, and that collective knowledge, wherever possible. I believe like you that Queen fans have much t offer every project. This is why I ALWAYS consult with fans such as Gary Taylor, Frank Palstra, Jim Jenkins, Andreas Voigts, Paul Bird, Frank Hazenberg. I'm more aware of this fact than most people."
I don't think there are any real experts. There are top collectors who have great amount of stuff (video and/or audio), there are people who know a lot of details about dates and setlists, there are experts who focus on which recording comes from which source but I can't think of anyone who would be a real expert on everything.
