As we now Queen and Paul Rodgers a have recorded 9 tracks already. I cant wait to hear some of the new stuff. Just even a 10 second clip would make me excited really. Can we expect any tasters from a live performance of some kind?
I look forward to hear the red special on new material, and the great backing vocals from Brian and Roger. Many might not know, but that will sound like Queen even without Freddie. Just give us a teaser :P
The Fan Club or the official website could've made such a cool event out of it. By adding a special section to the website for fanclub members only. Where you could see some photographs and video from inside the studio.
What a missed opportunity.
How come other bands like Beatles, Genesis and so on always have these great releases. A 6 dvd Documentary made by the band. Boxsets with remasters, Boxsets with outtakes. Even bands who obviously sell less then Queen have this kind of stuff.
All we get is another compilation with the same remasters we've had since 1993. Or a one hour documentary which has a new interview, but for the rest just talks about Freddie's life outside of Queen and about his death and contains footage we've all seen a million times before.
I understand that Queen doesn't have studio footage outside of the One vision stuff from Magic Years, but what they did with Making Of A Night at the Opera was so great. And I really thought it would finally get better with the musical documentaries, instead of everything being about disgusting homosexual parties and stuff like that.
Most Queen releases are so dissappointing when you compare them to what fans from other bands get. Peter Gabriels current tour setlists consists out of songs which were asked for by the FANS. not by him, but the fans.
Queen asked what the fans wanted to hear at the Queen & Paul Rodgers tour, but I seriously doubt that all what 'WE' came up with was I Want to Break Free, Radio Ga Ga and We Will Rock You.
I understand that you just can't leave out songs like Rock You or Champions. But there's nothing wrong with playing some lesser known stuff.
One wasted opportunity was this years fan club convention message from Brian & Roger which was filmed in the recording studio. Such a shame that we didn't get to see even a 10 second burst of a song.
