| its_a_hard_life 26994 29.06.2007 17:30 |
What films do you watch over and over? Dont count the one's the kids make you watch, if you have any kids that is. :) Your own personal choice. Mine are; Mean Girls The Matrix Mrs Doubfire Harry Potter 3 and 4 School Of Rock The Princess Diaries Trainspotting Saw 1, 2 and 3 Sixth Sense The Omen Thats my list on the films that I own and I've been watching quite frequently recently. Alsooooooooo, discuss WHY do you watch them a lot, obviously because they must be you're favorite? But why? |

I LOVE MEAN GIRLS!!!! xD Mine are... RHPS, but I've gotten to the point now where I only watch the scene where Frank fucks Brad and then I turn it off. A good break for a month or so will refresh me. Mean Girls, because it's hilarious. The Graduate, because it's just great. (And Simon and Garfunkel!) Labyrinth, because the flatulent bog and David Bowie's pants never gets old. |

I still feel bad because of Titanic... 27 fucking times! I only wanted to watch it the first 2 times, all the others I was "forced" by a girl... She didn't even told me I HAD to watch it with her, and I wasn't even in love with her or anything back then... But she asked and insisted every fucking day during almost the whole July! ¬¬' Since I was a kid it was already easy for girls to get me to do what they wanted... ¬¬' |

Let it Be - I saw this film eight times when it first came out. Four times I went to the theatre, and then, when, back in the day, you could hang around in the theatre for the next showing and not pay, because nobody checked the audience, that's what I did. The Court Jester (Danny Kaye rules!) Young Frankenstein (Gotta love it) A Fish Called Wanda ("Canis mortus est" cracks me up every time) The Adventures of Robin Hood (Errol Flynn) All About Eve (Bette Davis classic!) The Abominable Doctor Phibes (So camp!) Dr. Phibes Rises Again (or whatever the title is; for the sake of this list, I'll call it Dr Phibes 2). Harry Potter 1, 2, 3, and 4. (Only twice for each of these). **************************** And my "guilty pleasure" movies, meaning movies that I'm ashamed to admit that I enjoy; however, if I'm channel surfing and I happen to come upon them, I WILL watch: The Running Man The Breakfast Club Mommie Dearest Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? ************ There are so many more, but I'll stop here. :D ************ ETA: I thought of some more: The Wizard of Oz Gone With the Wind |

GOODFELLAS - DeNiro & Pesci, and just about everybody on the Sopranos. THE USUAL SUSPECTS - Great cast. Everyone in it gives their best performance they've ever done. GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS - The ultimate ensemble cast drama. Pacino, Ed Harris, Alan Arkin, Jack Lemon, Kevin Spacey, and Alec Baldwin's greatest moment on film. STAR TREK II - The only space movie with a villian that rivals Darth Vader. Khan was much more scarier. And I'm a nerd. ALIEN & ALIENS - Only the second time that a sequel has been just as good as the original. SUPERMAN I & II - Same reason. This was the first. SUPERMAN II - The Donner Cut - In two words: Marlon Brando. THE FRENCH CONNECTION - I could watch that car chase scene all day long. DIE HARD LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD (New) Because the first one and the new one are just straight in-you-face action movies with no junk. ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA Again, DeNiro and Pesci, and a great story. |

Ive only seen parts of 1 and 2 and that was enough. I REFUSED to see 3 with my girlfriend as I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it. She had to go with one of my other friends. 2 minutes into it he had some kind of seizure and they had to leave! I thought he was just soft but apparently that film caused lots of other people to have the same problem. I do tend to like disturbing stuff (Se7en, Clockwork Orange, Trainspotting) but Saw 1, 2 & 3 are a bridge too far. My list of favourite multiple viewings LOTR trilogy (another overly enthusiastic kiwi) Star Wars trilogy - any film with Darth Vader in gets 5 stars automatically (except Episode III because he was only in it at the end) Jaws 1 - a suspense classic Naked Gun - funniest film in the universe (at the time) Don't own any movie DVDs so apart from the above I never really get to se films more than once. There are films I like more that I have only seen once. |
