On Saturday I’m going down to London for the princess Diana concert at Wembley Stadium. I was reading the newspaper today and it has been confirmed that Brian May will be playing along side Joss Stone for the song Under Pressure. It should be a great concert and hopefully Brian will play a few more songs. Hopefully Roger will be playing along side him. XD Btw it’s my birthday today!!!! XD |

well so far the concert has sucked like you wouldnt believe the only good thing so far was status quo and even they wernt that good |
.DeaconJohn. 01.07.2007 14:07 |
I've watched a bit of it, and it's frankly embarrasing - the presenters are trying to hype it up to something that it's not. And the UP rendition was awful; whatever they did to the arrangement turned it into the most forgettable song ever. I think it's one big non-event really. The best act so far was the guy from Supertramp. |

dobo wrote: the only good thing so far was status quo and even they wernt that goodStatus Quo sucked. They sounded AWFUL. Does anybody else think that it looks as though the stadium is not full? There seem to be a number of empty seats. Perhaps people left when they realised how bad the performances are. |
.DeaconJohn. 01.07.2007 14:10 |
It just lacks any real atmosphere. I think the lack of big names appearing kinda shows what a non event it is. I don't think we'll get Pink Floyd reforming for this one folks ;-) |
teleman 01.07.2007 14:23 |
They should have had The Wiggles open the show and had them explain to the crown how to clap in time. Non-event of the year. |

Well, I was watching snippets of the concert. Duran Duran were good, so was Joss Stone w/ Tom Jones, Elton John wasn't bad, other than that, it wasn't as great as I'd thought it'd be. Prince William is SOOOOOOOO hot though. |

My favorites were Duran Duran, Joss Stone and Elton John. The rest were stinkers to be honest, expecially Lily Allen(pretty much what i expected). And thanks to P.Diddy Daddy Doody for putting all the rapcliches in one performance. |

Hi all, I got back from London yesterday and what a great weekend. The security at Wembley was extremely tight. Everybody was searched before entering the stadium so it took quite a while to fill up. The security was tight inside aswell – lids taken off bottles of water etc. The concert itself was absolutely amazing. The stadium was split in two halves – Prince Harry’s side and Prince William’s side. I was on Prince William’s side and we were told that we were the better side for clapping, cheering, Mexican wave etc. The atmosphere was electric and Rod Stewart got the biggest ovation of the night. In my opinion he should have finished the concert instead of Elton John. A lot of people started to leave because they were fed up of waiting for Elton to come on stage. Also, a lot of people expected Elton to sing ‘Candle in the Wind’. There were no bad performers but the only one I disliked was Joss Stone but not because of singing Under Pressure – I just don’t like her or her voice. Other than that it was perfect. And now I’ve got front row tickets for Russell Brand in Liverpool on Sunday :p |
