Hi...I'm 'The Loser In The End' and followed quuenzone news for some years now and relatively new to the torrent thing...
Anyway I did 'buy' the official wma bootleg 'Bonsoir Paris' because I was currious...
And after listning even more: The bootleg has very poor EQ, is not balanced and 'wobbling' at times...OK...but CD 2 is even a half semitone to low...(the tape was running to slow...!). It's fascinating that no-one from the official bootleggers saw any means to correct this...(apart from the wobbling...thats kinda tough...i admit)
My question though: I'm pretty sure this recording is a proffesional recording...not a (dry) soundboard...but sheer mixing desk...
Does anyone know more about this? Are there no lower generation tapes known? I'm sure a good master lies in the vaults...
Anyone agree on my observation that this is a pro-recording (Live Killer stuff...?)
Cheers
TLITE
It's definitely an audience recording... and a great one! You just found a pretty poor version... not to mention that it's lossy. Never pay for those bootlegs again! Every one of those recordings offered for sale at QOL exists somewhere else in better quality.

Thnx for your reply Sir...
...I forgot to mention that these encripted, 192kbs wma, files would never open on my computer...for some reason my wma player refused to accept the license...lol
But it's good to know that my computer is wiser than me...:)

I love to hear that...
I'm still not convinced it's an audience recording though...but I admit; it's hard to have a close listnen...

I don´t know where to find these recordings in better quality. Of course QZ is one source for this and trading another one, but in these days it´s hard or nearly impossible to get some boots on fairs or recordstores. If you search on the homepage of the Queencollector you don´t get to know something about the quality of the concerts.
Btw the sellers in Germany seem to be very careful and frightened to offer unofficial stuff because it´s forbidden. The last thing I saw was the Zoom-Double-CD of the evening show and that was maybe two years ago.

Provided that this version and the one offered on QOL are both sourced from the Bonsoir Paris (Gypsy Eye) version, then they're both about the same quality, with the poor hiss reduction done on it, which left it with a horrible crackling sound. The only difference is the one here isn't lossy... although hiss reduction in itself should make a recording lossy.

It really is an audience recording. There are moments when the hand clapping is very close by. If it wasn't for that, I'd think it was a soundboard too!

Welcome to the world of collecting. So many questions, and so few answers. The best way to get started would be to download a few recordings from here, and then start emailing other collectors to trade. There's a huge list of collectors at Queenconcerts.com.

OK...so under what title is the better source released...do you now that?
Most of the best unofficial recordings aren't released by bootleg companies in Japan. They simply come from people's collections, as they have circulated around for years... or in some cases, they have circulated very little.
Give me a couple days, and I'll share my copy of this show.

All right! That'll be wonderful...! Looking forward to it...:)
Sorry to disappoint you already, but I just checked out the cds, and they're full of flaws. I received them just yesterday, and it turns out that some songs are in the wrong order, some have these horrible buzzing noises in them. Damn...
I really thought I had gotten the definitive upgrade. Sorry guys.
