Hi guys'n'gals of Queen, sorry I haven't posted anything for so long, been busy with the chaos of life lately.
This has probably been discussed at other places before, but wanted to share opinions on the edning of a certain drama series that was on HBO-the Sporanos.
And for anyone here who has seen the 'ending' on there, what are your opinions and theories of what might have happened after the very last cut to black scene?
Some say Tony got whacked or it just might have been Tony seeing his daughter enter the diner after the door chime and she just sits down with them and life goes on. That's probably what really happened imo,but this is the Sopranos after all,so who knows?
The ending was supposed to be left up to the viewer to draw their own conclusion is what David Chase has been quoted as saying. It certainly elluded to something bad happening to Tony but we didn't see it so technically it didn't happen.
I personally like cliff hangers and open ends so the ending didn't bother me like it has most people. I'm just sad to see the show go and I didn't like how much time they wasted on AJ and his issues when really nothing came out of it.
I liked the ending but it did piss me off a for a minute or two then I got over it.
Great show though, I'm gonna miss it.
Seeing as I live in Australia I will not see the final until 2049.
I like the show. I just can't see a lot them at one point in time. They cost a billion dollars on DVD. Rargh.
I was wondering if anyone was going to start one.
Personally, I feel that R.I.P. Tony. We just didn't get to see it, neither did Tony. All along, we've been there for his dreams, his coma, etc. This time, nothing. Even Bobby eluded to it a few episodes back. "You probably don't see it coming. Everything goes black." That's why we don't need a movie.
Plus, can you whack a boss with no reperations? I know what Butch said, but you can't believe that guy. He's probably the new boss.

That's almost exactly what I said on another board. Nobody seemed to really think that way though...
Thanks for the feedback on this,it was appreciated.
Now for my 2 cents worth of opinions...
Yeah, maybe they let the viewers decide for themselves on what happened, but for me this sort of thing has been happening in a lot of shows i've watched, where the shows ends with a lot of loose ends, unanswered questions and of course an ambigious or inconclusive ending is left.
I suppose it's best that you use your imagination and maybe write a fanfiction story to try and figure out what happened(fanfiction.net has a lot of those.)but sometimes I think they're doing this a bit too much on tv shows and such, and they're not pleasing everyone doing that sort of thing imo.
It even happens in a lot in anime series and movies, ugh and i've seen some half resolved stinkers out there I tell ya.
Either way, you'd think the final scene on there would have these words on the screen...
"THE END...?"
Makes you wonder,if that was really the end of the series but not the story itself?
And imo,I don't think Tony really got whacked,it might look like he did,but nothing really happened from what I can tell,it's obvious that his daughter comes in and she sits down to have dinner with Tony and his family and it just kinda shows his life goes on,but...he probably will get whacked sometime later in his life either way,but that's just one of few theories I heard on the net about this.
I wonder how HEROES will end when it comes to a conclusion? Lol,maybe Claire,Hiro and the others sitting in a diner and they hear a door open and YOW--IT'S SYLER or some super villian come to kill them and it ends? I hope not,but that would be funny as a spoof to the sopranos.
I don't think he got whacked either and I say this bc I've read and seen a lot on the "real" mafia and in order to whack a boss, the five families or however many were on the Sopranos (I think Phil said one time, "we have the five families in NYC and then this fuck of a family in NJ." Not sure though. I'm also aware that this is a show and not real mafia bc obviously Tony had Phil wacked and we didn't see him receive any sort of "permission" and I never saw a "boss of all bosses" in the what, nine years it was on? So these are just my opinions of course. I just don't think he got wacked then and there. Bobby may have said you probably never see it coming, but I know/I think Tony would have seen it coming. He was an excellent "boss" and business man. He had a sixth sense I always felt.
I'm biased though, I loved his character!!! You can't tell can you? ;)
