Once again, being rich and famous makes anyone get away with the same crimes that the average citizen would have to pay to the fullest extent of the law. link |

According to the Daily Record she "has been reduced to a sobbing, shivering wreck in jail." The rest of the article went on to say this..... The hotel heiress spent her second full day behind bars at California's Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood yesterday and the pressure has started to get to her. Inside sources revealed: "Paris is scared. She has been crying on the phone, saying she's not sleeping or eating. Paris says her cell is freezing. "She has three little blankets and no pillow. Paris says she has no appetite and has eaten almost nothing. "She's called her lawyer and family, but found it really hard to talk because there's a recording in the background telling her: 'You have one minute left. This call is being recorded'." But the socialite has been given support by her fellow inmates. As she was being led back to her cell. the prisoners struck up a chant of "Paris, Paris, Paris." She reportedly smiled and waved. One inmate made an origami butterfly from the page of a magazine page and slid it under her door. Another pushed a drawing book under her door. link Poor cow has had a hard life......... NOT. |

This was LA. OJ didn't do any time. This was a publicity stunt idea of Paris' from the get go. She thought she could do it, but after a while, she got bored. She'll find another way to be in the news, trust me. |
Mr.Jingles 07.06.2007 12:44 |
Paris Hilton would do anything for media attention, whether it's good or bad. She'd shove a cock down her throat, or allow a comedian to rip her to pieces at an awards show. Think of Paris Hilton as the troll everybody is feeding. While the great majority o people seem to hate her with a passion, that very same hatred generates media attention. Come to think of it, the networks and media outlets don't care whether the general public hates her as long as she captures people's attention. Media executives would put Osama Bin Laden on the red carpet as long as it generates some sort of reaction. Paris Hilton will be around as long as we pay attention to her. |
Micrówave 07.06.2007 13:05 |
Yes, but the big question, Jingles, is WHY?!?!? Why do we pay attention to her? Why do little 10 year olds want to be her? Just exactly what is the claim to fame? Can't sing, can't dance, can't do what you're talking about too well, or maybe that was the night vision... |
Legy 07.06.2007 13:11 |
I'm surprised she stayed this long. If you have money in LA, you don't have to pay for your crime. Look at OJ. |

Oh dear... suddenly I have cold feet about going into the American Justice System... Someone once took a cardboard cutout of Paris Hilton from the town centre and chained outside the carpark and wrote: "Daddy can't save you now" on it... I thought that was hilarious... |
.Jony. 07.06.2007 15:34 |
it was fucked up that she had to spend 45 days in jail in the first place driving without licence is NOT something you should go to prison for so yes, the american justice system is a joke, but not for the obvious reasons |

I'm sorry, this is laughable. a prison sentence is the highest possible punishment you can get. you categorically don't deserve a prison sentence when you didn't have a license. she didn't hurt anyone, she wasn't in an accident. nothing happened. give her a fine, yes. but anyone who tries to intellegently defend her prison sentence is a strange person in my book |

I think the prison sentence was a punishment that was meant to "wake her up" before she kills herself or someone else while driving with alcohol in her system. Paying fines and having her license suspended didn't seem to change her dangerous behavior (this was probably the reasoning of the judge). It was the repetition of what she was doing that got her into this much trouble, I think - not just one foolish mistake. And if she is speeding, not keeping to her lane, or forgetting to turn her headlights on, she is definitely a hazard to herself and others. I don't hate Paris. But it is not easy driving out in LA. If you are on the freeway, there are many lanes of traffic; if you are driving in the mountains, there are lots of steep cliffs. You really have to pay attention out there. Wouldn't be easy to have any drinks in your system and make it safely home. |

Hopefully something good will come of this: She's been ordered back to court tomorrow to possibly go back to Jail link |

.Jony. wrote: she didn't hurt anyone, she wasn't in an accident. nothing happened. give her a fine, yes. but anyone who tries to intellegently defend her prison sentence is a strange person in my bookFirst of all, Paris Hilton has enough money to pay hundreds of fines, so she couldn't give a rat's ass about how many she gets because there's plenty of money in the bank to send to the Department of Traffic Violations. Now tell a relative who has lost a loved one to a drunk driver that she didn't hurt anyone. Every year there's around 17,000 car accident fatalities related to someone driving drunk, and while Paris Hilton was lucky she didn't hurt anyone, she was putting herself and others at high risk. The fact that she violated the terms of her license suspension shows you how much she cares about the incident. |
iron eagle 07.06.2007 23:20 |
lets clarify a few things she got the jail term because she violated the terms of her probation when you violate probation most people go to jail lets review... from yahoo news Officers arrested Hilton in Hollywood on Sept. 7 for DUI. In January, she pleaded no contest to the reckless-driving charge and was sentenced to 36 months of probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines. She was pulled over by California Highway Patrol on Jan. 15. Officers informed Hilton she was driving on a suspended license and she signed a document acknowledging she was not to drive. She then was pulled over by sheriff's deputies on Feb. 27, at which time she was charged with violating probation. She originally was to serve 45 days in jail. That was reduced to 23 days if she reported before June 9. Many say she will probably serve 2 weeks or less..But if she serves her full 23 day term, it is said that all charges will be dropped. Probation- is a sentence that a judge can give instead of jail or in addition to jail or prison time. Like parole, it has conditions attached. If a person violates the terms of probation, the judge can then give them any sentence the judge could have originally given them, including a jail term. in conclusion: so little miss paris... got probation-- acted like a spoiled rich kid and violated the terms of the probation not once but twice and the judge sent her to jail.... class dismissed |

I'm sure someone has already said this...but oh, well... First, O.J. Then M.J. Then Robert Blake. And THEN, Paris. I mean, COME ON, people!!!!!! -.-' At the same time, though, she IS a human being. Even if I don't like Paris's public image, I do not know her personally and cannot say anything about her personality. It is extremely brainless to drive without a licsense, but that says nothing about her kindness. She could also be a mean old hag. I don't know. I heard something about her trying to improve her image. My mom says volunteering in a soup kitchen is a good idea. Meh. I don't know. |

Driving without a licence is brainless but somehow understandable. But driving DRUNK is dangerous, it's a crime. In most countries she would have to spend at least 6 months or 1 year in jail for that. |

I am sick of hearing the rich and famous getting special treatment just because they have money and we don't. I spent 93 days in jail for my crime and I will tell you this, they didn't give a rats ass if I had a bad back or not, I still slept on the thin mattresses on the concrete floor like other inmates when the cell is overcrowded.. She was given plenty of chances to change her ways, and she pissed them away, I am happy now that she has to serve her entire 45 days now rather than the 23. |

The scream erupted from Paris Hilton fan Jake Byrd as news spread outside the courthouse that the celebutante had been ordered back to jail. Byrd was among dozens of Hilton supporters who converged on the downtown courthouse before the hearing. He held a sign reading "Let her live" on one side and "Liberate Paris" on the other. Overhead, an airplane towed a banner reading "We Love Paris." "She is America's Princess Di," Byrd said.What. A. Cock. |

Say what you will.... ....but for a 26 year old woman to throw a fit and cry out for her mother speaks more to poor parenting, I think, than her questionable methods of fame. I am in no way a fan of Ms. Hilton, but I think her parents did a major disservice to her through their parenting skills. |
