There are actually four different concerts with the title "Zoom". I'll start with the 1976 ones. Queen played two shows in Osaka on 3-29-76. The afternoon show came out on an LP called Zoom, and the evening show came out on a 2cd set called Zoom (and a couple versions since then). Both shows have the same setlist.
Here's a link to download the afternoon show from LP: link
Although the evening show hasn't been shared here yet, it's definitely not one of the hardest bootlegs to find.
And then there's the 4cd set called "Zoom 79" from the Osaka shows on April 19th and 20th. Here's a link to download this set: link
Hope this helps!
There is one more "Zoom" bootleg.
I have a 2 CD silver set titled "Zoom Up" from one of the Japan 1981 shows (actual show date is only identified as "Live February 1981") from the Rag Doll Music "label" (RDM-942019). The CD's end with TYMD, and includes Rock It. From memory, the sound is VG+ or slightly worse. The actual CD's do not identify the band and are mislabeled with songs like "To Go Way" and "Out Ways to Escape".
If I remember correctly, Zoom Up is from the 2-16-81 show. "Prime Jive" (Wardour) is the upgrade to get from that show. It's a 4cd set, with the master recordings of the Feb 16th and 17th shows.
Thanks.
I am used to the old way of rating concerts, as I started with old Hot Wax bootleg books almost 15 years ago (and most web sites still rate them the old fashioned way).
It is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.
I assume that Ex is an A, Ex- is an A-, VG+ is a B+, VG is a B, VG- is a B- etc. Is this correct?
I wonder if people outside of Canada and the US are familiar with the A to D grading system. I know I would be confused if concerts were rated A level or O level etc.
