We didn't have mobile phones or video cameras back in the day. But I went to this concert with a friend. It wasn't held in one of the bigger halls. If I remember rightly it was even a corner stage, barely room for Freddie to swing a mic!! I know he was wearing an off the shoulder red/white striped leotard that night, because I remember wondering (out loud, shame on me) if it was a tribute to Blackpool Rock. Seven Seas was barely known at the time, but the entire audience knew the "oh I do like to be beside the seaside..." close-out. Proud to have been there in a small, packed room, moons before filled parks and stadiums.ew Mike Bersin really well and I felt good just having that tenuous link.
