Queen didn’t play in Switzerland for their Works tour – which meant for me to see them abroad. Having graduated in University a few weeks before and being ¾ italian it was obvious for me to go to Milan on their first italian concerts ever. I couldn’t buy tickets before so I was forced to get them on the black market – it did cost me a fortune but I didn’t really care. It was superb – seeing the italians go nuts on this first encounter with the band. The stage and design were just faboulus, although I still prefer the stage of 1982. Freddie was really strong – and enjoyed every second of it. The whole band was in great shape and powerful. The second night was great too – like in 1982 in Zurich, I felt it a little less strong than the day before (maybe too much italian pasta…). The setlist was also magical and full of surpises for „old“ Queen fans – which means me...
