Fan stories
Written by Michael Kelty
I remember the show featuring their rockish stuff primarily which I enjoyed. Freddie played John Lennon's "Imagine" on the piano. Other than that I am not certain about some of the songs I remember them playing. I definitely remember "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the at-the-time ubiquitous "Another One Bites The Dust".
Although I barely remember it, I still rank this show as one of my all time fave concerts ever. Freddie & Co. were real entertainers and were utterly without the pretentiousness you see all too often these days.
Btw., there was an opening act, they were really mediocre though. I think their name was "Crazy Eights" or "Straight Shooters" or something like that. Besides of this concert, I never heard of them again.
